You should use proper English and quit adding the letter U to words, like in favourite. My computer doesn't like them and underlines them all in red :)

2. What is your favourite sport? I'm too lazy to participate in any (and in no physical condition), but I like watching baseball. Does fetch where the dog actually does the fetching count?
Ok, I'm going with fetch, the only problem is that for most of my dogs I've usually been the one doing the fetching :)

3. What colour are your eyes? blue

4. Have you ever had a broken bone? don't think so - I know that should be something I know the answer to, but it was my foot and I can't remember if the bone was broken or cracked. If it comes down to it, I'll say no According to Sam's first aid instructor cracked bones count, so I'm saying yes

5. What is your favourite movie? I'll go with Bell Book and Candle, with James Stewart and Kim Novak. I can watch it whenever it comes on.

6. What is your favourite book? Really??? I can't even narrow it down to a genre! His Majesty's Dragon since that's where I fell in love with Temeraire.

8. What is your favourite holiday? I'm sure it's not really a holiday, but I'm going to say Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. I always asked if that included my four-legged kids, but for some reason my employers never agreed with my thinking. ☺

9. What is your relationship status? Single (why do they distinguish between single and divorced on forms - If you're divorced then you're single, unless you marry again, and then your status is married - yes, it's one of those things that annoys the hell out of me)

14. What is something you use daily? I'd like to say my brain, but I'm pretty sure that's not true.

16. What is your favourite Ice cream flavour? In cold weather I prefer chocolate flavors, while in warm weather I prefer fruit flavors. I'll go Mango Gelati with Vanilla Custard.

18. What is your favourite season? Fall when the leaves turn and the temperature should be perfect for me.

19. What is your current desk top picture? Since I lost my job, it's bland, but my favorite picture was of my brother holding my younger niece in a bag. He's standing in front of a sign that says "I went shopping at the bad girl store".

21. How many candles were on your last birthday cake? none, I haven't celebrated my birthday in years. I usually have to count forward from my year of birth to figure out how old I am :)

22. Have you been in an accident? yes, several, but only a couple were my fault

24. Name a place you’d like to visit. Alaska, or Ireland because I love stout and haven't been able to like scotch or it would be Scotland. I'll go with Alaska.

25. What is your favourite genre? Ok, I'll say fantasy in the example of Patrick Rothfuss, Robert Jordan, Jim Butcher, Neil Gaiman, Naomi Novik, Michael J. Sullivan, and too many others to list.

26. Do you prefer a car or truck? a car with room for dogs, so some type of wagon.

27. Do you have a tattoo? yes, 2. I got the first one for my 40th birthday - a crescent moon and stars on the back of my right should. My second one I got for my 50th b'day - paw prints on my left calf. I plan on getting another for my 60th - a ribbon, half red for heart disease and half green for lymphoma in memoriam for my mom.

28. Do you prefer Classic or Contemporary? I'll say classic since I like most HF better than contemporary, at least for the time being.

29. What is your favourite flower? Outdoors I love peonies.

(Beach, Mountain, Camping, exotic, etc) Somewhere I've never been with historical, mythical, and quirky spots that are off the beaten track (When I lived in Winchester one of the most interesting things I discovered was a brick flat-top pyramid. In it was a man buried with his gun and his dog)

37. Who is your favourite author? "Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo - and the pick is Bernard Cornwell.

38. Do you prefer tea, coffee, or water? I don't like coffee, I've been trying to drink a ton of water this year, but I'll say tea when it's brewed properly.

40. What is your favourite fruit? currently mangoes, but since I have trouble picking a ripe one I should probably go with white peaches

43. To what time period would you like to time travel? It used to be the old West (while reading all of Louis L'Amour' books, but really, life without indoor bathrooms and a/c, I know I wouldn't have done well. (I'd probably be a saloon girl) After that there were a lot of other book related places where I dreamed of living, but I knew I wouldn't have the fun/dramatic/meaningful lives the characters had, so I had to only live in those places through the books.

I would like to live in the mid 24th century, possibly traveling aboard the Enterprise, but Earth would need to be as characterized in ST:TNG. Or, if I was traveling with Doctor Who, then I could live in many different times. Ok, wherever the Doctor takes me.

That's really cool too Elsbeth. Annika is something else! I never watched Voyager on TV, but we recently bought the box sets and are about two thirds through... so no spoilers!! We identified a lack of Voyager as a huge gap in our general education.

Lol, yes I agree: you just HAVE to see Voyager! We also have all the dvd's and are now borrowing the dvd's of TNG from friends of us (and they borrow Voyager from us, to watch with their children).
Fun fact: my first encounter with Star Trek TNG was on the German television (so they were talking German!). The first time for me to hear the crew with their original voices was very weird - they didn't sound like they did in German ;)!

That is soooo funny!! We speak German at home, so nearly ALWAYS watch Star Trek in German (along with almost everything else) unless we have guests. I find it so weird hearing the original voices too.... it's as if the personalities have shifted somehow. Although Patrick Stewart's voice is definitely better when it's the original.

By the way. Apologies Jaxnsmom for hijacking your thread... you'd be within your rights to scrap this one and start another (lol).

Ha, I was thinking of conemporary conveniences like indoor plumbing or toilet paper. Historical fiction was listed as my favorite genre though. Funny how we all had a different take on some of the questions.

Great hobbies, Jaxnsmom! I loved reading the Trekkie conversation here. Cannot imagine Captain Picard saying "Engage" in a different language. Just wouldn't seem right.

Yeah the reason I didn't want to go far back in time was all based on the clothing. All seems to scratchy or too much of or too stiff to go back to cowboy days too dirty. Similar to how you don't want to give up modern conveniences.

I did ask Janice what it referred to since I was overthinking it. I was originally thinking style from watching too much HGTV for a while. Yikes, conveniences would be a no brainer - outhouse vs indoor plumbing, mopping face with a cloth every five minutes vs a/c...☺

I had to change my favorite food to Indian. Thai came to mind first because I had some pad thai and drunken noodles with beef on Friday. And although I love thai, I could eat Indian every day and never tire of it. I could drink the sauce from chicken tikka masala by itself :) Samosas, naan, biryani, aloo ghobi, dhal - I love it!

Focusing on a "style" makes total sense, especially for those of us who watch HGTV. Also, there are classic vs contemporary music stations or book genres. That was my other thought. Lots of ways to interpret it. :-)

OK - so my Grannie (Ruth) was an actor and she ran a drama group in Elsecar (pron. Elsicar) where they lived, which my Dad joined and so did PS. My Mum was Ruth's daughter. So, aged around 17, they all went on a field trip and Dad and PS had to share a bed.
