Even though I didn't suggest it, I kind of feel this one was especially for me. I purchased a book on a Kindle deal called A Lion Called Christian: The True Story of the Remarkable Bond Between Two Friends and a Lion
, which is the story of the lion from that YouTube video a few years back. You know the one where the former owners visit the sanctuary where they'd left their pet lion and when he sees them he jumps on them and is so thrilled to see them. (Ok, that was a self-indulgent side bar but still a cool story.)

Into the WildDewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
The Cat Who Could Read Backwards
I think I'll go for Life of Pi for this one, although I do love the story of Christian the Lion, I've seen a tv show about it, but never realised there was a book. Could be a possibility!
I have Dewey: There's a Cat in the Library! penciled in for this one. But a trip to the library or your suggestions might change my mind on this one.
There are several cozy mystery series that involve cats.Laurie Cass writes about a cat that rides along on a bookmobile and the cat's owner/librarian driver solves murder mysteries. Lending a Paw
Ali Brandon writes about a black cat that gives the human in the bookstore where he lives clues to solve murder mysteries. Double-Booked for Death
Miranda James writes about a college rare books librarian who owns a Maine coon cat. Again murder mysteries. Murder Past Due
Krista Davis writes about a tourist town that caters to cat and dog owners. Cats and dogs are welcome at the hotel, the restaurants, and stores in town. A woman who works at the hotel solves murder mysteries. Murder, She Barked
I like cats okay, but I'm more of a dog person, and I don't care for cozy mysteries ... so this one has me searching a bit, which can be fun. I've got a somewhat eclectic list right now, not sure which one I'll read (I can see some of these thumbnails don't show cats - but I promise I had found a cat when I searched! Different editions, I guess.)
The Wild Road (Gabriel King),
Doctor Sleep (Stephen King, Shining #2),
White Cat (Holly Black),
Pay Dirt (Brown, Mrs Murphy #4) - this is a series that I used to read, and I can't remember where I left off. I know I owned this particular book, because I remember the cover, but the story doesn't sound familiar, so maybe I never read it.
Star Man's Son, 2250 A.D (Norton),
The Cat Who Walks Through Walls (Heinlein),
Breed to Come (Norton),
Schrödinger's Cat 1: The Universe Next Door (Robert Anton Wilson,
Schrodinger's Cat #1),
Turning Point (Norman),
Lord Of Thunder (Norton),
Track of the Cat (Barr, Pigeon #1)

For anyone looking for non-fiction,
The Psychopath Test: A Journey Through the Madness Industry has a cat on the cover.
I'll be reading
for this one I think. I also have a couple of Sneaky Pie Brown books on my shelf, such as:

I'm taking your idea for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It also happens to be the only one on my TBR that fits!
I'm thinking of A Street Cat Named Bob: How One Man and His Cat Found Hope on the Streets
This was recommended to me and has been on my list for awhile. It's about a busker and the cat who adopts him.
My sister has a pet cat in the house so I'm going for practical with The Trainable Cat: A Practical Guide to Making Life Happier for You and Your Cat.
Just remembered that 2 A.M. at The Cat's Pajamas is on my TBR. I heard an interview with the author on Too Many Damn Books podcast and she was so interesting.
Kate Daniels Series by Ilona Andrews would be a good one for this prompt.I'm fairly certain this entire series has a lion on each of its covers. I plan on reading the second installment for this one. :)

Maybe, maybe not… We all have different tastes in reading.

I've been dying to read Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World but hadn't gotten around to it yet. Now I definitely will!

It could also be used as
1) A book with a title that's a character's name
2) A book from a nonhuman persepctive
I am not a fan of cats. There, I said it! I've been dreading this prompt because I also don't really like mysteries either and that seems to be the genre with the majority of cats on the cover. But I think I found a loophole! I found a book on my TBR and the main character's name is Cat and she is depicted on the cover so I'm going with that for the prompt. It's a YA book, Heart and Salsa, from a series I've been working on for years. I feel so much better now.

And I think it totally works for this prompt. I'm in the same boat as you. I'll have to check out Heart and Salsa. :]
As I looked at my to-read list, I realized that Emily of New Moon has a cat on the cover! So I'll read this.

True but, I would like to get through it one of these days lol

Thank you for that information! :)
Neat! I hadn't realized "Ove" has a cat on the cover!! I've been wanting to read that, maybe I'll pencil it in for this category.
My Cat Yugoslavia by Pajtim Statovci will be published next year in English. Also
Felidae and
The Guest Cat, and as someone already said,
The Master and Margarita.
I'm really surprised to not see any of the "Cat Who..." series by Lillian Jackson Braun on the list! It's an entire series with cats or cat paws on the cover. It centers around Jim Qwilleran and his Siamese cats, Kao K'o-Kung (Koko for short) and Yum Yum. There are about 30 books in this cozy murder mystery series. The cats are essential to solving the mysteries, practically solving the mysteries before their human Q can figure it out.Although I am trying to stick to books that I have never read, I do love the Gandalara Cycle. Riding Giant Cats in an alien world paired with a psychic connection like you find in Pern and Inheritance.

Another great list! I admit I'm really a dog person, so I wasn't immediately thrilled with this category, but it's been really fun to search for a book that works! A lot of books have cats on the cover that aren't really "cat books" and that's something I never noticed.

The Cat Who Went to Paris
A Cat Abroad
The Cat Who'll Live Forever: The Final Adventures of Norton, the Perfect Cat, and His Imperfect HumanI own all three of these but have only read the first, so I'll read A Cat Abroad for the travel task and The Cat Who'll Live Forever for this task. These are absolutely HILARIOUS, by the way. Peter Gethers is rather brilliant (or I think he is) AND he mentions multiple books (including The Master and Margarita, which I will be using for the appropriate task) in the first one. Very short, fun reads. They also involve a LOT of travel, so if you want to acquire all three, you can knock out up to three tasks quickly with this set.
