SOLVED. Kids pic book - messy girl has different color dress for each activity she does so stains blend in. [s]

I read this when I was a kid so it must've been out by the late 80s. The girl is very messy so she wears the same color dress as whatever activity she's doing. Wears a brown dress to play in the mud, a peach dress to eat peach ice cream, a splatter pattern dress when she's painting. Anyone know it??

They were colorful and cartoony. I don't remember them being full page and I don't think there's a particular period/location. It's for young children so there isn't much of a plot and it was probably a very short book. I think it might start with her always wearing white dresses and ruining them all. I feel like I remember a page where the dresses are all on a clothesline. And then I "think" they dye the white dresses different colors so she can get dirty and not have to worry about stains. I don't remember the cover.
