This is the last book in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series. I didn't really like this book unlike the other two, but am glad that I read it. It might be awhile till I read the series again, but I might. I really enjoyed this series.

Review: This was a TERRIBLE book!! For the hype I'd heard about it, it was terrible.. Worst book I'd read in a looong while. I was seriously considering DNFing it, and I don't think I've ever DNFed a book. I didn't want to though because of all of the challenges it worked for, and the length of time I took to read it.

The ending is where it made up for me, but it still doesn't deserve any more than 2 stars XD It was such a let down. I don't know how I dragged my way through it.

About Patroclus, I really liked how he (view spoiler)[considered a family with Briseis, while still being with Achilles. And I liked the way he took that oath to save her. That was really honourable. And the way he stood up to Achilles. (hide spoiler)]

As for Achilles, (view spoiler)[just no. Far too arrogant, so frustrating. His honour over all of those people? His pride?? I just didn't understand that. Clearly back then it was really important, but it was just crazy. I like the way Briseis got so angry at him after Patroclus death. (hide spoiler)]

I actually didn't remember any of this from what I learnt in history, so it was actually all a surprise when (view spoiler)[Patroclus (hide spoiler)] and then (view spoiler)[Achilles (hide spoiler)] died, which was quite good.

Review: Holy shit this book is totally incredible!! The twists, the action, the complexity of it all! I loved the concept of the OASIS, the way that it was set up, all of the real games and real movies and books and songs and everything. I just wished I knew the 80s so that I could relate more. Finding out that (view spoiler)[Aech was a girl!!! I thought maybe 'his' problem was that he was paralyzed or something. But nope! (hide spoiler)] That was a totally jaw-dropping moment. And also the moment when (view spoiler)[they all died when they deployed the Cataclyst! When they all just disappeared. Thank god that Wade had the coin! (hide spoiler)] For once I was pleased that Wade was so lucky. Normally I just facepalm, but this was just incredible. I grinned. And then when (view spoiler)[Wade saw Artemis in real life, that was just so sweet and gushy :D (hide spoiler)] I looooved this book to the ends of the earth. Definitely one of my favourites.

Review: Loved this book :) It's my second or third time reading it, and I still loved it as much as the first time. It's an easy read for me, and though it seemed a little too good to be true, the challenges in it were believable, the turns really surprising, and the love and hope so crazy. My eyes teared up once or twice. I love Sam, and his personality, and his love, and I love Grace's practical personality. They're so right for each other, and I'm so happy with that ending. Can't wait for the second book!

Review: I think the first time I read this I extremely overestimated it. This book I didn't even like all that much. The insta-love really stuck out to me, and the way that Stefan never questioned anything in the book was a bad point for me. The way he assumed that (view spoiler)[his father would just be alright with vampires after he'd accepted Katherine, which he didn't even do, and the way Damon insisted he wanted to die, and Stefan knew how much Katherine meant to him, but he still forced Damon to drink blood and complete the transformation. I don't know how I'd feel if I was Damon. (hide spoiler)] I'll probably continue the series but only for challenges XD

Review: Gave this book 4 stars. Don't think I liked it as much as the first time I read it a few years ago, probably because I kept getting it confused with the show. The show's taken over my imagination too, which kind of sucks. At least (view spoiler)[Imogen was a new character, and Madeleine's the one who knows how to wake Jocelyn up. (hide spoiler)] I can't even remember how that worked in the show. One rage I have about the ending is that (view spoiler)[Simon's now alright to just be Clary's friend, and Jace is alright to just be her brother?? Of course Clary wouldn't tell Jace what she wanted (hide spoiler)], because that's what all main characters do and it annoys the crap out of me! Ugh! I'm pleased that (view spoiler)[Valentine didn't give in to the Inquisitor. And I'm pleased that she finally trusted Jace, and that Jace told her from the start what was going to happen. (hide spoiler)] Pretty excited for the 3rd one because I haven't read that one before.

Review: So this is a Beauty and the Beast retelling I saw in my local bookstore that I was just drawn to. My copy has such a mysterious black cover, and the fact that the phrase on the front is 'what if Belle's mother cursed the Beast?', I just knew I had to read it. I picked this one up with another one, an Aladdin one, phrased 'what if Aladdin hadn't found the lamp?', which I'm also intrigued to read! Around the 30% mark did things start coming together and getting really interesting, with (view spoiler)[Belle finding the magic mirror in Beast's room, and seeing her mother and the curse being made. I can't believe that she actually touched the Rose and hastened the curse though :/ (hide spoiler)] Also the repetition of the (view spoiler)[first chapter, but now that we know what's happening it made so much sense! With the first chapter I had no clue. (hide spoiler)] I had to re-read the first chapter at the end of the book, to go back through it. I loved the depictions of all of the animated household items, especially as we got a history behind each one as they (view spoiler)[were transformed into their human states. (hide spoiler)] So sad about (view spoiler)[Alaric though :( (hide spoiler)] I also think I must have missed the part where it was revealed that (view spoiler)[D'Arque was Frederic, (hide spoiler)] unless I just wasn't paying attention.

Review: Review: I tried reading this one probably a year or two ago, but I couldn't get into it! I am so glad I'm reading the whole series this time! I loved loved loved this one, especially with the extra POV's.

Isabel: I'm pleased Isabel's getting more spotlight, especially with her parental issues. They also never seem to mention Jack? I don't understand...

Sam: I still just really love him. He's so adorable and cute XD I mean, the fact that he's never really lusting after Grace, he's always just loving her and their little routines, like him reading while she's doing her homework. They don't always have to be doing something together, and it's awesome. And the whole thing when (view spoiler)[Grace was sick and he didn't mention it was weird, and the fact that he didn't even text Grace when her parents grounded her? I didn't understand why he didn't stand up for himself when he wanted to see her. (hide spoiler)]

Grace: I don't think I liked her as much in this book. I mean, (view spoiler)[she didn't even tell Sam about her sickness as soon as she felt it? How did she think that would make him feel? The studio was such a good present though! (hide spoiler)]

Cole: I like how he's a part of things now. And how he chose to be a wolf to get away from his humanity. But it's also a little stupid because there are people out there so much stronger than him who actually face stuff and get past it. I hated it how (view spoiler)[he pushed Sam towards that tub, and even still now thinks he's a coward, when he's the one running away from his freaking LIFE!?!? And it's stupid how he thinks he should get special credit for being famous when it's really not what he wants... (hide spoiler)] I also found it kind of cute when he thought that (view spoiler)[Isabel had a crush on Sam, and how he felt jealous. (hide spoiler)]

So yeah long review over XD It was just such a cool book, and a lot happened in it! Can't wait for Forever!
