ok still waiting...Also, I have to switch from Housekeeping to The Five People You Meet in Heaven for my lottery book. Hopefully that will not be a problem. This is my audio "read" and Housekeeping is not available yet.

We have 1 hour and 15 minutes until we can start reading. Anything read before that won't count, and the book would be disqualified. You'd have to start it over if you want it to count.

Sarah wrote: "And Lilisa, yep that is the latest update =]"Great, thanks Sarah. Less than 1/2 hour to go (corrected for ET! I would have had a late start!)

Hehe, yes you would, that would not be goood. Phew.
Gaaah, sooo excited. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to grab my first book lol.
Marnie wrote: "JMom - should I set up our reporting thread? I have a computer so it would be easy to do?"You have the option of a reporting thread or using this one. Whatever makes it easier for you.
If you hear from Angie and she hasn't finished her book, ask her if she can please start another one until a ruling is made on her early start.
Marnie, I think it would be easier to create a reporting thread, but you'll be tarcking points so it's totally up to you =]Jmom, will do.

Yup, I'm a dork! :-)
I've finally gotten my ass out of bed so I'll be starting my first couple books soon!!Agnes Grey and something on audio (which I didn't think about before so it will be extra)
I have been away for a while (I hope I didn't miss anything important), but I am back and ready to start :) (with The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared)
I had a visit from my parents, with barbecue, so now I too can start reading! Yeah! (already started when I had to go to the toilet ;)).Have fun reading, everyone!
Already halfway through my first book! And the visiters for tomorrow have cancelled! So lots of reading tomorrow!
Finished The Art of Racing in the Rain.- it was a very quick read but I enjoyed it. Having a birthday celebration for my son and then I will start my next book.
I did enjoy mine, I got to 89% and it took an unexpected turn and it shocked me but overall I really liked it. I gave my book 4 stars too =D
It's just gone 1am now, and I'm pretty tired, so going to head to bed, but may just wake up earlier tomoz hehe. I'm 50 pages into th second book and look forward to getting back to it tomoz.
I took a little nap, but I'm back on track, 2/3rds through Frankenstein and taking a dinner/computer break. Happy Reading Team! :)
Melissa wrote: "Just finished Angelfall, on to the next book :)"Can you please post this in the reporting thread. Less chance of me missing a score if they are all in one thread. Thank you!

Loved my first - Mornings in Jenin - posted in the Reporting thread, Marnie. On to my second The Dogs of Christmas.
Lilisa wrote: "Loved my first - Mornings in Jenin - posted in the Reporting thread, Marnie. On to my second The Dogs of Christmas."I liked The Dogs of Christmas, it was really sweet. Glad you liked Mornings in Jenin - it's on my tbr.
Yeah, J-Mom, 100 pages into it and it's rather cute and light. I'm hoping it has a bit more teeth to it before it ends though. Have you read A Dog's Purpose?
Finished my 2nd posted in the Reporting thread. I can read more so looking at sheet #3 - I could do In-Laws Visit - family reunion for 5 pts if The Arrow Catcher qualifies - I will check in the rulings thread - kid has to go live with his grandfather after his parents die; and Go on a Vacation - takes place on a beach or mountain - 3 pts Cross Currents - story takes place on a beach resort in Thailand or Get a Divorce - romance book - 3 pts Shadow Spell. These work Sarah/Marnie?
Lilisa wrote: "Yeah, J-Mom, 100 pages into it and it's rather cute and light. I'm hoping it has a bit more teeth to it before it ends though. Have you read A Dog's Purpose?"Yes! One of my all time favorites!!! Christmas one is basically a light read. Oh, I see you finished it. What did you think?
Blah - 1 star :-( but that's okay. Had a great first read with Mornings in Jenin so can't complain. I did enjoy a dog's purpose - it was very cute.
Lilisa- whatever Sarah and you come up with is fine by me.I have finished my second book The Burgess Boys- which was so-so.
I am going to listen to The Year of the Hare and start reading Pride and Prejudice.
Marnie - I am almost through listening to the Year of the Hare. Quite good in audio form. Hope you enjoy it.
Yes, Helen - I think I stole the title from you when JMom shot down my unicorn book :). I have it in ( as well as most of my Toppler books) in both audio and written so I can read/ listen all day. Glad you are enjoying it. It's not at all what I thought it would be especially after reading a book where I heard what the dog was thinking.
The Year of the Hare couldn't be more different than the Art of Racing in the Rain - LOL. Hopefully you will enjoy learning about Finland and a completely different culture. Also, the main character is definitely unusual. The hare is an interesting companion. Interesting that you combine audio and written. I do that quite often and especially for timed challenges such as the Toppler. Most of the ones I am reading this week I have in both forms. Must be a characteristic of the team C chicks.
Lilisa that is awesome, I'll put you down for Romance - 3 points and Vacation - 3 points. If you just check with Jmom about your other book then let me know okay.I've actually added another for myself under Retired - 3 points. I my add another one or two but we'll see how it goes =]
Lilisa, I checked in the ruling and your book will qualify for fresh start, It'll be on sheet 3 but for 3 points. Unless you want me to pop it in lottery for 5 points =PI've added another one as well for In laws visit - reunion, 5 points.
Updated chart: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3Ap...
I am going to be able to add another book. On sheet 3 read a book where the main character is married for 3 points. Thanks for accepting my fr. :)
Sarah - I am moving much faster on my books than expected. So can add a couple more to my commitments.A Spy in the House - works for Buy a House - either Takes place in a residence (5 pts) or residence on cover (3 pts)
The Rosie Project - works for Lottery - either (5 pts) or (3 pts)
Finished first book, Dry and reported on that thread. It kept my attention with solid, insightful memoir writing. Not faring as well with second book, Trail of Feathers: In Search of the Birdmen of Peru. Kind of yucky with disgusting info about shrunken heads, mummies, and bizarre, inhumane animal rituals. Very disappointing to me given how amusing and thoroughly entertaining Tahir Shah's The Caliph's House: A Year in Casablanca was.
Sarah - I'm good with lottery or fresh start, whatever you want to put me down for - lottery gets us 2 pts more but if someone else has read a book that doesn't qualify for any of the categories, you may want to use the lottery category - I'm easy either way. Going to do my darnedest to read all three - there's something called work lurking around the corner!
