"It was bothering me," she said bluntly. Although she typically didn't like to interfere with people's lives, she really didn't want to hear his snoring while she was trying to read. It was too distracting, though his face was more distracting now, she thought.

"What else is bothering you?" He asked, his violet eyes running over her face. "Because my snoring is loud... and common room is meant to be too."

"Yes, but I'm not going to tell you," she said, looking away again. "Just get back to work or go, please."

"Why are you here?" He asked, hating how he didn't feel like ending the conversation how he usually did."

She looked back up at him, slightly alarmed at the question. He couldn't have meant it how it sounded to her, like he knew who she was. "What do you mean? I live here."

He raised an eyebrow at her expression. "Because you obviously want peace and quiet...so why here, where it is potentially loud."

"Because my roommate forces me out into the public," she said. She didn't want to go all the way to the library just to have some peace when Lime would allow her to return after just a little while.

"Huh." He replied, studying for a moment before he sat down again. "Name is Caleb. Yours?"

She eyed him for a second as she considered whether or not she actually wanted to answer. "I'm Chastity," she said at last.

"Chasity..." He replied, liking how it sounded. "Like...Chass, right?"

Her whole body tensed up in alarm. This situation was too familiar, like deja vu but she knew where it would end. "How do you even know that?" she asked quietly, tense still.

((Wait, do they know about the tournaments?))

"I might have asked about who was in the tournaments." He replied, shrugging a shoulder.

She narrowed her eyes. It wasn't a good enough explanation. No one but her roommate knew her nickname. And the school, since for some stupid reason they had printed it on the plaque outside her door.

"Chasity...Chass...seems like a good nickname." He replied, raising an eyebrow at her expression.

She crossed her arms protectively over her chest, feeling vulnerable at the return of her nickname, but not wanting to show it. "I guess," she mumbled.

"I can...just call you Chastity, if you want." Caleb offered, noting her discomfort.

"I....don't care," she said, pulling herself together. She took a deep breath and straightened up, dropping her arms.

Caleb nodded, biting his bottom lip before looking at his books. "Ill...be quiet now. So that you can read." He replied, looking back to study her face.

"Um...thank you," Chastity said and finally returned to her seat. She picked up her book and began to read, but was far too distracted for that.

Caleb studied her more than he did for his own work,taking a few minutes before he decided to talk to her. "So, your in the tournament..."

"I am," Chastity replied, trying not to look up. "Why are you so curious?"

"Well, I want to meet my teammates." He replied, smiling a little.

"Teammates?" she asked. "So then you're in the Olympics too."

"Yes." He replied, nodding once.

She looked at him for a second. "What event?" she asked after a moment.

"Capture the mascot, I think." He replied, chuckling. "I should really be training or something, right?"

"Yes, without your powers," she said. "Only I'm allowed to use powers during that event, since Eloise signed me up as the mascot..."

"Huh." He replied, thinking about it. "Nice."

"I don't think it's that nice, honestly," she told him.

"Why not?" He asked, confused. "Isn't it like...a privalage?"

"I don't really want to do it at all," she informed him.

"Why not?" He asked, cocking his head as he studied her.

"It sounds like a pain quite honestly. Forced to be out with people and play a game I have no interest in," she answered. "I don't know why she ever thought I would want to."

"Maybe because she thought you were the only one good enough for it." He replied, thinking about it.

"No. Trust me when I say that's not why she did it," Chass said, rolling her eyes but not at him. She knew her roommate meant well, but it was still frustrating.

"I will." He replied, smiling a little. "So, what's your story?" He asked, looking back at his textbooks.

In a rare moment, Chastity chose to play dumb. "It's a tactical journal from the ancient normal people versus the witches. Apparently there was a war or something between them."

His smile faded, and he raised an eyebrow as he studied her. "Really?" He asked, unsure if to be annoyed or...amused in a good way.

"Yes really, look," she said and passed him the book she was holding.

"Why are you reading this?" He asked, not bothering to look at it.

"Because I thought it sounded interesting," she answered simply.

He laughed a little, looking at the cover of the book before handing it back to her.

She looked at him curiously, not sure how he'd found it funny. Then again, she didn't have the biggest sense of humor either.

"What do you like to do? Other than read, I mean." He asked, deciding getting to know her was better than homework.

"I thought you had studying to do," she pointed out. She wasn't about to let some stranger know anything about her....even if he did look just like someone she used to know well.

"That can always be done some other time." He replied, pointedly closing his textbooks.

She frowned at him. "I really don't see why I should tell you anything about myself," she said.

He shrugged, looking at his hands. "Ill go first, then." He replied, taking a deep breath before he talked. "I'm nineteen, live with my brother and sister because my mother is still "Finding" herself....Never met my dad, about to own a jackalope, I am 6'5 and warned that I'll be growing a lot more in the next few years..."

"You're very young for a vampire," she commented. Apparently there were a lot of young vampires around here... So immature and naive, didn't even understand how true heartbreak occurred or that all around them was finite while they were immortal.

He cocked his head, studying her for a moment. "How old are you?" He asked, amused.
