"Please!" He was too exhausted to walk. Or at least he hoped that was what it was... He didn't even have the strength to move his legs. Everything else, though, he could move. That was concerning.
The healing dragon seemed to know what was going on, breathing a great roar on Adam.
The headmaster accessed the first secret panel.
The headmaster accessed the first secret panel.
He struggled down the hallway, pulling himself along the walls. Whatever te dragon had done, he had the feeling hadn't completely healed it, and although he could stand, he was weakened. And whatever it was wouldn't last permenently.
The headmaster nodded at him. "Well, Adam, would you have me bring her to you or would you go to her? She's very close to death as it is."
Airi ran up to Adam and offered to let him lean on her shoulder,he was no use to anya if he couldn't even get there
Airi hissed at Adam but left even as she smelled Anya so near death, she offered help but he had turned it down, simple.
The headmaster led him to Anya, who was seemingly chained to a type of altar, eyes dazed and unresponsive.
She shuddered and her lips trembled, like she was about to convulse. "Now," the headmaster said, "Choose who you would bond with."
"She is dead. Choose again." The headmaster's fingers twined around the noose still around Anya's neck.
The headmaster was really focusing on the stupid complacent puppy-dragon. And he was a little frustrated. He tightened the rope around Anya's neck and she gave a gurgling moan.
He patted Anya's cheek and kissed her forehead. "Look at that... She doesn't even move in protest."
"Then should I make the choice for you?" Anya's feet began to twitch against the chains keeping them down, her breath failing her.
Anya went limp. Well, more limp. The Headmaster sneered. "She needs medical attention immediately."
"Then accept my decision."
Anya's lips formed a single word. 'No'. She wanted him to remain unbonded, free to escape. Not to play into the professor's hands.

"I will not risk your betraying me. I need collateral, and if it isn't her, then what do you have to offer in her place until you can make an informed decision?"
