So I've been thinking about creating clubs. It would bring about sociality and stuff. And I was kind of debating how to propose the idea and how it would work. I'm thinking it should be like out of an anime where the characters propose a club and if they can get 3-5 other people to join, they're an official club. Then they can just hang out in their club room "between classes" and bond with other people. We'd have to come up with more parameters but I think they would be really basic like "must allow equal opportunity for people to join" so nothing species based or etc.

I remember planning that in the beginning of the original group. It didn't take off specifically because it wasn't inclusive like this new situation will be. I like the idea.

Yeah I remember the clubs really vaguely and there were problems to it from what I recall. Like there were four or five groups and quite a few of them got proposed but never used because not enough people cared or the ones that did wouldn't qualify. It fell apart pretty quickly, so I was trying to think of some solutions.

The one real question I haven't figured out how to handle is how to organize proposing and petitioning for a club.

I only know what they do for the Japanese New Year...a lot of the traditions might be similar because the Japanese stole them but not identical.

I feel like that's a good idea, but it doesn't fit exactly what we're needing. Or maybe I'm just reading it a slight bit weird.

We should probably do a masterlist for clubs, but we'll need a separate thread for proposals and petitions together. As I'm thinking now, maybe there should be some kind of form for clubs? Like name, purpose, and then people who sign on?

Meaning, the original person updates their post as people say "My character ____ would like to join (this club)" and the first...what did we decide? Three? Five? will be logged on the petition and make the official club. Of course, the idea of the club would need to be approved first since we want to make sure they're inclusive.

I don't want to make it too complicated, but I do want to make it orderly.

As for the festival or party, at this point I'm tempted to say maybe neither? We really ought to have started planning a long time ago for the festival since none of us really knew what we were even going to do. Now we're three days into the literal real-life festival and it's kind of late to do anything.

And Valentine's Day is in six days, so we could try to plan something, but we should do something more interesting than another dance like we just finished with Halloween.

The alternative is that we begin planning something a little more complex that's a little further in the future. I think we have gotten into a little bit of a rut with just slapping together festivals/parties/events in the last minute just so that we can say we've done something.

If I recall correctly, the idea of a party celebrating the reopening of the school had been suggested. Since we'd be basically be starting from scratch with it, no traditions or anything like that to work with, we could make it really exciting and creative. AND we could make our own deadline for it.
