So I know the spaceship was put in the town but I want it in the townhouse folder. However, I understand why it is where it is so I can be persuaded to let it stay. I'm conflicted, because I can rationalize it being in either place. So lets discuss.
I think it should be in the town house folder because I feel the residences should be grouped together. Since practically, the houses are scattered through town anyway. This is the reasoning why I put Calem and Haaoli's tower apartment in the cabin folder.

I put it in the Off-campus town area folder because the mountain he crashed in is technically in the mountains outside of town, not the village where others live.
I did think about putting it with other residences but was not sure it made sense to do that.
Just because it's the crash site and not just inside?
I am open to moving it. whatever you decide.

We're going to need another opinion, because I understand what you're saying and I agree. My only point is that my mind works that all the residences are grouped together, but I'm also fully open to leaving it where it is.

I say that if we're left at a standstill, we put it wherever there are less topics because I know some of the folders are getting close to 30 and I don't want any threads on a second page for as long as we can help it.

I've been thinking about doing some group updates when I have time. Just simple things like expanding on some topic descriptions and I've also been considering reformatting the house information page. I know that wasn't my project in the first place, but I'm just trying to update and modernize some things.

So basically, I want all of Val'JaLon to re-form. I haven't decided all of what this entails yet or how I want it to go, but essentially it's going to expand the entire world.

My current idea is that every so often, the multiverse shifts and Val'JaLon adopts a piece of it that doesn't fit anywhere else, which is how it went from just the school and town to also the portion on the other side of the mountain of all those people who hate magic (it hasn't been explored much yet so don't worry if you don't remember this part)

This shift, I want to include a large city across the ocean which will expand our character possibilities a LOT. I'm talking Coruscant/Lunathion type diversity here. Add a university for our students who grew up and allow us to continue using them without having to strain our brains finding them a reason to exist.

For years (literal years- look how long we've been doing this) I've been wary of adding too many threads and facets to the group to keep it simple so new people wouldn't be overwhelmed when they joined, but lets face it: we're not getting that many new faces anyway. Maybe the new changes will attract them? If not, we've lost nothing. There's no reason NOT to add a city and the town over the mountain. Three different worlds all in one group.

I think we can make it a reasonable change and honestly the more I write about it the more psyched I am.

We wouldn't be tied to teachers and students and whatever species live in the town. I feel like it would make a lot of character decisions easier. I mean, can you honestly say that you think all your characters are best for the roles they're in? I can't.

There's characters I've wanted to make before that just don't fit in this role but wouldn't fit in any other group

Since no one has chimed in, I'll start the restructure conversation.

I think that we should create three "zones", one for the universe school area, one for the town on the other side of the mountain, and one for the city, whatever we name them. That way any new people can see that they're separate, maybe.
What I'm most concerned about is our character threads. At the moment, they're obviously geared towards what we have now, but with the addition of new areas, that's a whole lot of character creation threads.

Yeah, we'd probably have to break them up into more subcategories, like 'make a city character'

Or we can consolidate a little, either by age group or by home zone (though that gets tricky with people moving our possibly having two houses).
