Hi Bec, please feel free to add me as a friend! At the moment I have one friend on GR and that's my dad... pathetic, eh?

Sorry I missed getting back to you. Sending my friend request through, now.

Welcome! Happy to offer help if needed...there's a lot of stuff to get through, doing this challenge. I just started it a few days ago, and GR in January.

Thanks, Laurel! Wow, a lot of effort involved, but fun...and a good chance to get some books off my "to read" list.

Since I live in NL, most books here are Dutch. I prefer to read in English, so the reading challenges here are a good way for me to learn about new books and genres I would normally never go for. Creative reading here, definitely!
I hope you all have a nice summer with perfect weather and some great books to read. :D

Welcome, Rebecca. Yes, you may start at any time. Getting Started may help answer some questions.
Have fun!

Have fun!

Our mutual love of reading and goodreads brings us all together. Isn't it wonderful? I love it! Welcome to the SRC folks.

I've always loved to read, although I've been doing less and less of it for fun as I've gotten older. :( In my spare time, I'm into programming, web development/design, and photography. I also love cooking and trying new recipes, especially ones that involve alcohol.
I actually just stumbled upon this group while poking around GoodReads, but it seems awesome. Although it's almost August, I'm looking forward to joining the summer challenge.

I have a rather long commute, so I listen to audiobooks on my iPod at least 1 1/2 hours a day. I also carry a Kindle and/or Kindle Fire in my purse so I can read at lunch or any time I'm stuck waiting for appointments.
I love challenges and just found this group last night. My August reading plan is pretty full, so I'll be starting with the Fall Challenge here. It should be fun!

I live in Louisiana - I'm from New Orleans but live in Shreveport at the moment due to Hurricane Katrina. I am married and have 4 kids (ages 24,23,20.18). I am not working at the moment and so have a lot of time to read. I read almost all genres related to Romance and I also love Historical fiction and mystery/suspense. I read 99% of my books on my ereader and have recently started trying audiobooks. Can't wait to start!

I LOVE reading! It eventually reached a point where I was going through 5-8 books a day and my mum was like, 'If only there was a rehab centre for readers like you'! LOL But I also travel alot, listen to music and learn languages (I speak 4).
I can't wait to start this reading challenge..and its nice to meet you all :-)
Hi Everyone!!! :)
My name is Malissa. I am 20 years old and live in Oklahoma. I have never participated in this challenge before, but I'm looking forward to giving it a try. I am currently a sophomore in college. However, I am not currently enrolled in college at this time. I recently moved back to the United States from living in Japan so I had to put my college studies on hold while I get settled. Once I get more settled, I'm hoping to attend the University of West Florida as an English or Library Sciences major. Even though I miss being in school full time, I love having the extra time to read the books that I want to read :)
I am excited about this new group and am looking forward to taking on this challenge! :)

Hello everyone! It is fun to read people's intros on here, so I thought I'd contribute too :-)
I live in New Mexico, where it's beautiful and sunny most of the year, and fall tastes like roasted green hatch chilis. I'm 33, and have been married to my high school sweetheart for nearly 11 years. We have one very busy red headed seven year old boy, who likes to do his school reading sitting with his mum.
I'm a bedside RN in a level one trauma/burn intensive care unit. I work nights, so I drink more coffee than anyone person should, and sometimes I even get breaks that I use to read. (I used to try and cross stich, but at 4 am I usually ended up having to rip out anything I did manage to sew)
I am an unrepentant geek, and am an avid video game player as well as reader. I love metagames, like achievements in video games- so when I found this group I was in seventh heaven. (That groaning sound you heard was my husband realizing I found an excuse to buy MORE books).
I'm excited to get started on the contest for Fall 2013 and am greatly appreciative to even that work hard to create it!

I read as often as possible, which is not nearly as much as I would like!! I go through phases, and recently it has been YA/middle grade fiction (that is my middle school librarian taking over), lots of fantasies and/or dystopias. This is my first challenge with this group and I am eager to begin!

I am a 35 year old stay-at-home mom of 3. I am an avid reader. About 99% of what I read is M/M Romance and Gay fiction; though, I also get into Sci-fi and fantasy on occasion.
I don't know when I will be ready to join in on the fun here, just going to get a feel for things first.

I'm 34, I have 3 kiddos 15, 12 & 11 and I have the pleasure to be able to stay at home :) I love to read man on man lovins (M/M Romance)...I avoid drippy girl bits at all costs. I'm hoping to get a feel for the group and how things work and maybe I'll be ready to play when December rolls around!

And another one you pulled in...
I'm Susan. I am old enough to have to do the math to figure out my age, which is 42. 3 kids seems to be the magic number tonight. I stay at home as well, although really I just drive my kids from one place to the next. I've been reading mostly M/M romance also, but I do tend to binge read genres.
I am going to spend a few days checking out the tasks before deciding whether to jump in now and use my September books or wait until the next round.
Hi Group
I have been in and out of GR several times and this group sounds like one of the most interesting, mainly because of the variety of challenges. There is such a good selection, there'd be something for everyone .
I'm 55, have 3 grown kids and 7 grandkids .I'm a housewife with lots of spare time to read .
I'd say I like nonfiction books the most, but I'll read almost anything, other than romance and sci-fi .
Looking forward to picking out my first challenge .

Hi, I'm Eepa and I'm 29 years old with no kids, no pets but plethora of books. =P I'm reading pretty exclusively MM romance these days and like some others above me, I'm member of MM romance group. Within that I like fantasy, sci-fi and paranormal best. But I will read pretty much anything as long as there is some man loving in it. ;)

Hi! I'm Pamela Su. I'll be lurking for awhile as I try to understand this challenge. :)
I mainly read romances. Recently, I've discovered that I like reading MM romances, so I've been gorging on them since it's a new sub-genre for me. I prefer historical romances for MF romances and contemporary romances for MM romances.
I enjoy some fantasy and sci-fi but generally, nothing too heavy content-wise. Something on the light side is more my speed. My all-time favorite fantasy would be The Night Watch books under Terry Pratchett's Discworld series and for sci-fi, I enjoy James White's Sector General series.

Anyway, I'm a 32yr old actor in LA and love to read voraciously. I've been reading a lot of MM romance lately, which is of course how Katie and the rest of our lovely peeps corrupted me. :D
I'm a tad bit OCD so yes my spreadsheet is awesome! Not evil! But then again I think any of my usual challenge junkies that are also playing over here have since asked me for it so I hope they're enjoying. :)
Oh yeah, one more thing...Hello my name is Shelby and I'm a challenge addict. Multiple interventions have been tried and all have failed. I'm not complaining. :D

I am still scared to open your SS, because I know I will get sucked it...

How about my spreadsheet? I have so much info in it that I'm bound to forget what everything means at some point. =D
And really, if I got sucked into this madness then so should you! It's only fair. =P

Okay I will take a look today and figure it all out...

I'm a first year college student, studying to become an English teacher. Because of this, I don't have as much time reading as I would like to have, but luckily, reading is also part of my education.
I love challenges so decided to join this after I saw some GR friends (who are also part of the mm romance group, hello guys!) post about this group.
So yeah, I love mm fiction, but also young adult fiction.
That's really it!

my name is Natalie and I live in Switzerland.
I love reading all kinds of books, mostly historical and literary fiction, as well as nonfiction and fantasy. This group sounds like a lot of fun and I'm hoping that the challenges will make it easier for me to pick my next read from my overflowing bookshelves.
So, let's get started...

I work full-time for the US Govt, have two boys ages 21 & 18, three dogs and two cats. I am also going to be a first-time Grandma next April.
Looking forward to participating in this challenge & getting to know everyone via their comments & posts!

You can read both, but you may only do the Group Read task once. There are 58 other tasks- there may be other places the books will fit.
If you need helping getting started please see Getting Started and SRC Explained

I did read SRC explained but I still found it a bit confusing. I am trying. WOW! 58 tasks! I better read the rules again. :) Thank you very much for addressing my questions.

My name is Alyssa. I'm twenty five years old and live in a super tiny studio apartment with my husband of two years. His name is David and he hates to read (I'll never understand it).
I am permanently disabled due to illness, which sucks but it gives me a lot of time to read, which is AWESOME!
I am a voracious reader and I read a coupe hundred books a year. I am new to reading challenges and may need help. I have also just started a ya book blog, if you ate interested in learning more about it out getting the link please let me know!
Since I am disabled I don't get out very much which can be very lonely, I am looking forward to getting to know you and making new friends!
