Garfield, Although you appear to have raced through your own review schedule please resist putting pressure on other group members. There is no rule about the order in which reviews are done and the deadline dates are there to allow readers/reviewers to fit them into their (often) busy lives. So we do not expect reviews to be completed much before the dates assigned by Emma. Thanks.

Hi All,It is not the purpose of this group to tell the members what to put in their reviews - merely to encourage authors to write reviews about the work of their peers. Wherever possible of course a book review should be helpful to potential readers.
While I'm here I have renewed the link about writing reviews that I posted in my first message to everyone. Here it is:

I discovered that the first link had stopped "working" for some reason? At the risk of offending the old hands amongst you (grandmothers sucking eggs etc) if book reviews are to be "helpful" to potential readers they should include something about as many of these if possible:
characters; plot; pace; language; dialogue; the start and/or end of the book.
It is not very helpful to repeat how much you enjoyed/did not enjoy the book, or to relate what can be found in the blurb or book description. It is definitely not acceptable to level any kind of personal criticism at the author. I hope this is useful.

When you say I "race" through my comments, thats implying that I did a rush job which is not good...Your observation can be said in PM....furthermore what is the basis for your to make that comment....I think its mischievous.....person whose book i reviewed and those who are reviewing my book have not made any complaints that I know about up to this point.

Garfield, I think you will find that my only comment about your review of my book has been in message 50 when I thanked you. GR does not expect any response from an author about their reviews, other than perhaps a polite "Thank you" as an acknowledgement. Any kind of public rant or whinging about reviews could be considered both unseemly and unprofessional.

Mary, I noticed the paperback version and the Kindle version of your book are not linked on Amazon. If you contact Amazon, they can help you get this done. Then customers will see that the book is available in both versions and the reviews will all show up whenever someone searches by the title. Since I downloaded the kindle book with Kindle Unlimited and read it this way, I posted my reviews under the Kindle version. If this is a problem, please let me know.
