By day, Pamela teaches Middle School English. By night, she travels to other worlds and times, placing herself in the persona of her characters, all while sitting in her favorite chair! She has enjoyed writing for various reasons ever since childhood, when she realized writing and making up stories would provide entertainment for long trips and keep her company. Her tendency toward fantastic stories was reflected in tales of discovering modern day dinosaurs and talking horses that would give her advice. The writing of poetry provided an outlet for private thoughts and emotions for years until she decided to self-publish fiction in 2016.

Ideas will then come to me when I least expect, and I'll scramble for a scrap of paper to scribble some notes. I've never used my cell phone yet, but that may be an idea.(less)

The best thing about that is, I create worlds that I would love to visit. Then, I remember, I need to hook my reader, and build a conflict; well, life is full of conflict so it's easy to pull one from my hat, my own experience, the world, etc. So sometimes, I create a world that reflects my own. Characters are another creation, though sometimes they go in totally different directions than the path I had put them on. That is what makes this seem easier. They start to veer off the path and you realize, yeah, that could happen. Entertaining the what-ifs. That's what I love the most about this. It is why I've always been drawn in by stories of parallel universes!(less)

Weekend Coffee Share, Favorite Places

Welcome to my Weekend Coffee Share, hosted by Natalie the Explorer . It’s a gray, rainy day, but I’m still having a chilled chai latte, as I’ll be on the go. Our weather is in the sixties, and the clouds are rolling. It’s fun to watch. This last week was my Spring Break. Of course, … Continue reading "Weekend Coffee Share, Favorite Places" Read more of this blog post »

“Life on the go was not a problem for them. Understanding, and sticking to the rules of time travel, was more the challenge. - From Detours in Time”
Pamela Schloesser Canepa, Detours in Time, #1

“My experience showed me an ugly side of our human nature. That if we are told it’s alright to step on someone, we will do so, in joy that we are not the one being stepped on. If we are told we can treat someone as lesser, we will do it, since it means we are more than they are.” -Norrie, Seeing Through Sampson's Eyes”
Pamela Schloesser Canepa, Seeing Through Sampson's Eyes

“So, yeah, I have to admit, I had my doubts. But they were without merit. Yet, I waited for the judgment strike of the clock to hit. For Mom to find out Sampson's secret.... -Abrielle, from Made for Me”
