My title of my review to Illuminae was "The Most Emotional & Traumatic read of the year" and I read it like the first week of january this year haha. But basically this series never fails to mess me up. Still I love it <3

@Andrea Yea I have to agree! Maybe it's just a higher immersion level, since the documents make it feel so real, or just how amazingly well it's planned, but these books are some of my top ever! Gemina would be top of 2016 if ACOMAF and Empire of Storms wasn't there already

So I pre-ordered this sucker back in March. I have been highly anticipating this book since the last novel when I devoured "Illuminae" in three days! Three days!!! Gemina arrived at my house on Oct. 20 but I didn't go and get it until Oct..21.
I started it that night and I'm now 260 pages into this masterpiece. Does it have Kady and Ezra? Mentions them in passing so far. Do you have to read Illuminae? Gives you the shocked face. Only if you want to know what they are talking about.
Tell me about the format: Umm.. it's like Illuminae only with more illustrations and more terrifying space things.
Can I skip this book?......looks at interviewer. I didn't realize that was an actual question. I don't think I'll talk to you if you skip this series. Walks out of the interview room and immediately opens copy.

I like that will do anything to survive, but I hate that trope in books that the main characters conveniently have skills that will aid them in their stories even though it make little sense for them t have seaid skills. Like why does Hanna know how to fight so well and why did her father like to practice war tactics when they live in a intergalactic toll both? I like that she is kick ass but it doesn't go with the rest of her character. She a spoiled party girl princess (which I liked because it rarely seen in YA) but she's also a badass warrior Queen (which make no sense for the setting of her story).
