((Yes I made that book up. You can do what you want with it xP))

Arlington nodded, opening the book as she settled back in the beanbag. She was quickly absorbed into the book, which was no surprise, really. She loved books, and it generally didn't take her long to get into one. Unless it was an awful book.

((After this let's just have about an hour pass. It was 2:45 when they started reading. It would be preferable if it were 3:45 now. Just an update on where Arlington is I guess... Thanks XP))

Luckily for Arlington, Tresspass was a short book. She was nearly done with it by the end of an hour. She was leaning forward in her seat, eyes practically glued to the page before her. She would have jumped if you dropped a pencil.

((It can be 4:45 now if you like xP))

Feeling eyes on her, Arlington pulled herself out of the book, looking over at Bree. "What?" she asked, a little bit of a blush tainting her cheeks.

Arlin blinked, putting the book down. She had less than a page left, though she didn't really need to read the whole thing. It had all been resolved. "Is it time to go already?" she asked, a little reluctantly.

Bree laughed and felt her heart melt a little at Arlington's sad expression. "Yeah, unfortunately. My parents will be home at six and you said you needed to be home by five right? We don't want your parents thinking I'm a bad influence or something. If they think I'm a good person then maybe we can hang out again." Bree finished, with a smile. She could feel her cheeks getting hot, and she hoped she hadn't embarrassed Arlington for the thousandth time...

"Over on Little Tree Street." Arlin answered, smiling to herself at the street name. "It's about ten minutes from here, I think."

"Alright," Bree said, knowing exactly where that was. It was a neighborhood over from where her cousin had lived, so she knew where to go. She turned onto Main Street and kept driving. "So what are your parents like? They sound pretty accepting." Bree asked, slightly jealous.

((suddenly glad i know a lot of people in this community, lol))

"Well, it definitely sounds nice to have parents that wouldn't be homophobic," Bree said with a roll of her eyes. The more she talked about sexuality with Arlington, the more comfortable she became with it. "My parents would probably kick me out if they ever learned what I was..."

Arlington nodded. "It really is. I love them, honestly." She shook her head. She would never be able to understand that. What kind of parent would do that to their child? "Well, that stinks." she said, not quite knowing what else to say.

((Do you want to skip forward to dinner time with both of their families? Just to get an insight of what life is like in the homes...))

"I'm back!" Arlington called as she stepped in. She deposited her backpack in her first-floor bedroom and went hunting for her mom, who was in the kitchen, by the smell of the place.

Bree was reclined in her bed, finishing up the Harry Potter book she'd started with Arlington around. At the thought of Arlington, Bree smiled. She looked up when her mother knocked softly on her door. "Hey mom," Bree said, standing up. "Dinner ready?"
"Yeah, we're just waiting for you, hon. Come on down, okay?" Said Bree's mother. Bree nodded, and her literal birth giver left the room. Bree exhaled. This is gonna be an interesting dinner... she thought as she left her room and closed the door behind her.

Arlington helped her mom with dinner, which, luckily for Arlin's poor cooking skills, was just spaghetti. Soon enough, the whole family - which was just herself and her parents, with her brother off at school - were gathered around the table. "So how was school?" her dad asked. Arlington nodded as she thought of her answer. "It was good!" she said, "I met this girl, Bree, she's really sweet."
