Ema (gee-fiera) Here's the other one!

message 2: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Yay! :) Okay, so my plot idea is that Girl A isn't really out of the closet yet, but meets Girl B, who is out of the closet and proud. Girl B gets teased, doesn't care. Girl A gets teased constantly, and tries denying her sexuality multiple times. As Girl B and Girl A become better friends, they help each other along the way, and, of course, all in love. I don't really care which one I am, honestly. I just think this could be a really cool roleplay.

message 3: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Yay, we have a plot! :)

message 4: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments So, which one do you want to be? I have no preference, honestly. XP

message 5: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) I can be either! It doesn't matter to me.

message 6: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Alright. If you don't mind, I'll be Girl A. The closeted one... xP

message 7: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Okay!

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments So I'll get working on a character sheet for this. I'll post one when I'm on a computer next

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments description

Name: Brianna (Bree) Millington

description

Age: 17 (almost 18. Was hoping birthday could take place during role-play)

Personality: Bree loves music with all of her heart. She plays piano and sings whenever she can. Bree tends to be an introvert, however. Doesn't have many friends, and doesn't really know what to do with herself nowadays.

description
History: Bree was born on October 22, 1999. She grew up in a religious household, so her parents were very homophobic. She has no siblings.
In eighth grade when Bree pieced together that boys just weren't attractive to her, and girls were, she kept it to herself. Then in her sophomore year, a girl named Sophie caught Bree staring at her. Sophie led Bree on, and played with her heart and feelings, and got Bree to trust her. Then, one day, she kissed Bree, and some boy got a photo. The next day, the photo was all over the school.
Instantly, rude names and remarks were fired Sophie and Bree's way. Bree spent the last of her sophomore year depressed and friendless. Sophie spent it denying that she had any feelings for Bree, and actually gained some friends back.
After the year ended, Sophie moved away, and left Bree to deal with the aftermath. However, Bree's junior year wasn't any better. Although the immature comments stopped (except for a select few idiots), people, especially girls, kept Bree at a distance, thinking her very weird. Bree is now a month into her senior year, and is still very much an outcast.
Bree's parents were and are surprisingly uninformed and uninvolved, and to this day they still don't know about Bree's feelings.

Ema (gee-fiera) Name: Arlington Bethany Withers
Typically Called: Are, Ara, Arlin, or Lin
Age: 17
Grade: Senior
Appearance:
description
Arlington is not afraid to be herself. Bold is perhaps a good word to describe her, or maybe brave. Depends on who you are. Arlin is one of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet, but she's not afraid to stand up for herself. She says what she means, though she tries to do so in a way tha won't hurt others. Arlin was lucky to be blessed with a family that is very accepting of her being a lesbian - her mother is bisexual, after all, not to mention her older brother Toby is trans. Arlington got lucky. And she knows it. Arlin is out to...well, everyone, and she won't take crap about it. She knows who she's attracted to, and she's not afraid to admit it.

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Dang xP Sorry my character sheet was so long...

message 14: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) It's ok!

message 15: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Alright. So, so you want to start for me??

message 16: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Can you start this time, since I did on the last one?

message 17: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Yeah I can. Sorry for the super spacey replies. I didn't have school today but I worked so. XP Okay yeah I can start. By the way, you can assume whatever you want for this first part. Class-wise, I mean XP. I'll post tomorrow when I'm on a computer next. Thanks for being so patient with me, by the way...

message 18: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) It's okay! No problem :)

message 19: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree lugged her things out of her locker and slammed it shut again, spinning the lock. She swung her backpack over her shoulder and started to walk to her last period of the day. Per the usual, Bree avoided weird stares and whispers as she passed. She swallowed, thinking wistfully of what graduation would be like. To cheer herself up, she imagined herself flipping everyone in this damn school off as she drove away, practically saying, "See you, suckers!"
Bree waved the vision away like an annoying fly, internally scolding herself. It wasn't their fault she was a freak... It was hers...

message 20: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlington breezed into class, her skirt swinging behind her. She was just on time, as always (time management — did wonders for her schedule). She ignored the looks people were giving her, instead pulling out a book to read while she waited. Arlin almost always had a book on her. They helped her get through the day. Not that anyone have her problems — once the bullies had realized that she wasn't bothered by the names they called her and was more likely to lecture them then respond the way they wanted, they left her alone.

message 21: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree scurried into class right as the bell rang. Bree sighed, relieved, and began to walk to her seat. Unfortunately on the way, she tripped over a random backpack lain out between the desks. All eyes darted to her as she tripped and fell on to the floor, hitting her side on the desk on her way down.
Bree sighed in frustration. After two years of this, she'd learned not to cry over stupid things. But now and again she felt like she almost would.
"Brianna, to your desk please." Said the teacher, staring at her coldly. Bree internally rolled her eyes. Of course it didn't help that Ms. Browning was a homophobe. No mercy was ever shown Bree's way. Bree hurriedly tried to gather her things, scolding herself, like she usually did.

message 22: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlin slid out of her seat to help the fallen girl, gathering up the things she couldn't reach as well and handing them to her. "I guess I should move my backpack, huh?" she said with a smile, extending her hand to the girl. "Come on, before she yells some more." Arlington knew who the girl was, but they hadn't really spoken before.

message 23: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree looked up at this girl in absolute amazement. Someone was... Talking to her? In a genuinely friendly tone? Bree wondered for half a split second if she had died and this was angel... She was gorgeous and nice. That alone was enough to make Bree's heart flutter and her hands shake.
"Th-thanks," Bree managed, taking the girl's hand and standing up. Bree took the seat right next to the girl, still shaking ever so slightly.
Bree couldn't even begin to fathom why this girl had spoken to her, much less looked her way...

message 24: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlin smiled. "It's no problem, really." She sat back in her seat, kicking her backpack under the desk as she did. Noticing the girl's shaking, Arlin frowned. "Hey, are you okay? You look like you just saw a ghost. Or is this a panic attack thing?"

message 25: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree's eyes darted up as she noticed the girl was talking to her again. "Um, no. I think I'm okay..." She said. "I think I'm just a little... Surprised, is all..."
Bree forced a small smile to try and prove that she was fine. She didn't know if it was believable, so she said, "I'm fine."

message 26: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "You sure?" Arlington didn't want to come off as annoying, but she really was concerned. "You don't look fine." She paused, thinking that that was probably a little rude. "I mean - I didn't mean it like that - I'll shut up." She adjusted her position in her seat so she was facing the front, folding her hands and putting them in her lap. Arlin wasn't shy, not really, but this girl was beautiful and that kind of grabbed her attention.

message 27: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree opened her mouth to say something, anything, to get this girl to look at her again. But nothing came out, so Bree just opened her backpack and took out a notebook. She was always better at writing her feelings than saying them.
She ripped out a piece of paper and started to write.
Hey there. Sorry if I come off as weird... Honestly, no one's talked to me as a genuine friend for... Well, a few years now. So I'm just in some shock that someone is actually willing to talk to me...
-Brianna (Bree) (PS, I know what you meant. About the "fine" thing. It's okay, really. Haha :)

Bree looked over her note. Deciding it was worthy of sending, Bree waited until the teacher wasn't looking. Then, she silently slipped the note onto the gorgeous girl's desk.
Bree instantly looked back down at her paper, trying not to blush. She hurriedly started writing the notes that were on the board.

message 28: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlin was actually starting to pay attention when the girl slipped her the note. She hid it under her arm for a minute before looking down at it. She read it quickly, smiling, and began to write a response:
It's okay! Perfectly understandable. I'm sure I'm werid to other people too, lol. Is it weird to write lol in a physical note? Ah, whatever. It stinks that people don't talk to you, you seem really nice.
-Arlington (whatever nickname you want is fine, I've heard them all ;))

She tossed it over onto Bree's desk before she lost her nerve, then immedietly felt like banging her head on her desk. A winky face? Really?

message 29: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree looked up in surprise as the note landed back on her desk. She unfolded and read it. Resisting the stupid urge to grin like an idiot, she shyly glanced over at Arlington. Then, she looked back down and began to write.
Thank you, Arlington. That's extremely sweet of you. I actually
Bree suddenly looked up in horror as she watched the teacher approached her aisle. Panicked, she stuffed the paper in her bra, not knowing what else to do. The teacher gave her a look, but kept walking, lecturing still about poetry.
Bree sighed, blowing air out of the corner of her mouth, unknowingly also blowing a hair out of her face (only to have it fall back again). Bree looked over at Arlington, blushing, and flashed a smile that said See? I'm sneaky.

message 30: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlington giggled at the action, covering her mouth as the teacher passes by. She tore a page out of her own notebook, scrawling:
'Very smooth ;)' onto it before sliding it over to Bree.

message 31: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree hastily took the paper out of her bra and stuffed it into her backpack. She smiled at Arlington after reading the note, then wrote, Why thank you. I do try. Bree tossed the paper over, hoping the teacher wouldn't come back around.

message 32: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlington had to hide a laugh again at Bree's actions, covering her mouth with her hand. Shaking her brown hair out of her eyes, she wrote back, 'This is really making this class better. Want to each lunch with me?'

message 33: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree resisted the urge to yell out loud in excitement.
Yeah, I would love that! I have a car. Do you want to come to my house since it's the end of the day anyways?
Bree tossed the note back, grinning and elated.

message 34: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlington shrugged before remembering they were passing notes. She mouthed 'sure!' In Bree's direction before sitting up straight again, sweeping the note under her book, looking like she'd been paying attention the whole time.

message 35: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree grinned at her before doing the same.
Finally the bell rang, and Bree packed up her things. She looked at Arlington.
What do I say, what do I say, what do I say...
"So, Arlington, huh?" Bree asked. She then resisted the urge to punch something. Her name?! Really?! she scolded herself...

message 36: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlington scooped her things into her backpack, making sure she had everything. She looked up at the sound of her name. "Yeah, Arlington." she said with a smile. "I don't really know why, but it's unique, right?" She hefted her backpack onto her bag. "I like your nickname. Bree is really pretty."

message 37: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments "Thanks," said Bree, unsure what to say next. "Um, I parked on the north side of the school. Y'know, the abandoned side." She said jokingly.

message 38: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlin chuckled. "All right. Lead the way!" She waited to Bree to lead her out, a littl econfused about her. Bree seemed sweet, and she was certainly rather funny. But she was so shy. It confused Arlington.

message 39: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree headed out into the hallway. "So," she said, turning to Arlington, "I've never really seen you around. Have you been at this school since freshman year and I just didn't notice you? Or did you just move here?" Bree asked.
I'm surprised I'm actually acting... Normal, considering the fact that I haven't had a friend in three years... she thought.

message 40: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "I've been here the whooooole time," Arlin said with a smile. She was keeping pace with Bree, though making sure of where to put her feet. She could be pretty clumsy sometimes, and didn't want to trip and fall today. "I guess you weren't really paying attention to me."

message 41: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree cocked her head. "Huh... Really? That's actually kind of interesting," said Bree hatefully remembering the past years. "I'm assuming you haven't spoken to me because of all the rumors..." she said, beginning to turn pink.

message 42: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlin frowned. "Rumors? What rumors?" She meant it, she'd never heard of any rumors about Bree. But she didn't pay attention to gossip, it wasn't her thing.

message 43: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree looked at her in surprise. "You really don't know?" Bree wasn't sure if she should tell Arlington about the rumors if she hadn't heard them already. Maybe it was better she didn't know. She really didn't want to lose the one friend she'd gained...

message 44: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlington shrugged, still confused. "No, I don't pay attention." she shook her head, looping her arm through Bree's. "I'm sure it doesn't really matter, though!" she said brightly.

message 45: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree's heart jumped as Arlington's arm looped through hers. She felt a rush of something she couldn't really define... She waved that feeling off, panicked, and tried to just enjoy the fact that she finally had a friend.
Bree walked her all the way to the parking lot, where her car was waiting. It was a five-year-old navy blue truck that she'd nicknamed McKay. ((More details on that later on.)) "So, this is mine." Said Bree, smiling. She patted the side of the truck bed. "He's a little old, but he works just fine."

message 46: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlin dropped Bree's arm when they got to the truck. "He's adorable," she said, walking around to the passenger side. "I wish I had a car." Arlin could drive, but her family didn't have the money to get her her own car at the moment — in the future.

message 47: by StellaBlue (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree unlocked McKay and got inside, then reached over and unlocked Arlin's side.
"Yeah," Bree said, smiling still, he's a little old, but he's great. I drive him everywhere," Bree realized she kept saying "him" without saying the car's name... "Oh, his name's McKay, by the way."

message 48: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Arlin swung open the door, hopping up. She dumped her backpack on the floor. "Why did you name him that?" she asked, tugging the door closed. She brushed her hair out of her eyes and settled back in the seat.

message 49: by StellaBlue (last edited Sep 22, 2016 01:33PM) (new)

StellaBlue (thatgingertho) | 574 comments Bree started the ignition and started to reverse, looking carefully over her shoulder and still speaking, "Well, my older cousin died when I was in the eighth grade. He was practically my best friend..." Bree swallowed, trying to hold her emotions in. "McKay Mason Millington." Bree did a short, clipped laugh. "His parents had a thing for M names, apparently." Officially backed out of the spot, Bree began to drive to her house. Feeling something wet on her cheek, she hastily wiped her sweater sleeve across her cheek.

message 50: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "Oh gosh, I'm sorry!" Arlington said, reaching over and patting Bree's shoulder a little awkwardly. "I didn't mean to bring up bad memories..." She buy her lip, not sure how to react. If Bree really started crying, she probably would too.
