Week 2Theme: 18 - Book by an author whose first or last name starts with the letter 'J'
Book:
by J.A TaylorPages: 241
Finished June 19th
Rating 3 stars
Review: It was an alright book. Little tame in the bed room scenes when seemed the author was trying to make it steamer. But over all enjoyable. Summer, Georgia and Tammy are members of a girl group called She's All That. They have entered into a X-Factor type show in the hopes of making it big. What they never thought they would encounter was all the mistreatment and scheming they had. They also never thought that one of them would end up in Adam Morgans, a famous musician and show judges bed.
:waves: Glad to see you, Carrie! No worries. We're just glad you're still here. We don't have to know the deets. :)
Week 3: Book with over 450pgs per GRMiranda's Big Mistake 475/GRMiranda's Big Mistake
Finished: 2014-06-18
Rating: 4 1/2 Stars
I have read Jill Mansells books in the past and sometimes I have loved them and sometimes not so much. This time I can say that I really enjoyed this book and at times it had my laughing out loud - so loud that my husband was staring at me like I was crazy. I loved Miranda and her quirkiness along with how guliable she was. Her character had a heart of gold that lead her down to many crazy scenes in the novel that had the reader gasping and sometimes nearly crying with tears. Mansell didn't disappoint again with this book and has made me a life long fan. I definitely would encourage this one who wants a good read and needs a good laugh.
I just knew you were gonna like it Brianne! If I can remember a m/f book 3 yrs after reading, it couldn't have sucked. :D
Still not actually but I'm some place safe. That's the main thing. Without going into details. I'm doing all things from my phone.

That sounds like a great book. I can get it on on ebook at my library. I'm on hold for it now!
Brianne, could you put a star rating down for your book. Otherwise, that great review won't count.

Hi Brianne - I need you to include a rating on this post :)
Clarification for this weeks theme:I would like each selection post to either name the pet, note the book mentions the pet in the precis or post to a link that shows that the book qualifies - link to a shelf etc.
Jane (PS) wrote: "(Sass - your post is fine - just putting this msg in all the groups...)"Thanks, Jane. I was just about to go edit. LOL
Week 4 Book with a pet

Hey Shannon -- I'm not marked as finished for Week 3. I finished up The Witness a bit ago. My review is here:https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I know...it's a puny review.

And sadly enough I actually read it and STILL didn't mark it down. I kept thinking you'd finished but couldn't find it again. Lawd! Thank you!!!
Finished Week 4
Sub for Hire ★★★Had I read this book back when I first started reading m/m BDSM I probably would have rated it higher but now that I've read some fantastic books it was just meh. We had some insta-love, non-con/dub-con and very nice scenes but I didn't get Michael. For a guy who's been burned so badly, he sure did connect with Josh awfully fast. No real hesitation at all. Josh, I got. He'd been looking and waiting so when Michael came along...yay! No big fights or misunderstandings. Nothing to pull at the heartstrings. Just a ho-hum romance with kink. The dog might have been my favorite character. :D
Week 4: Main character has a pet (animal).
293 pages/GRhow it fits: Hero, Dell, has a pet St. Bernard and Heroine, Jade, adopts a stray kitty
completed 6.21.14, 4 STARS
Review: I thought this was a great continuation of the series. Dell and Jade had had amazing chemistry. I loved them together. I think my favorite scenes were the self defense lessons.
I felt for Jade and her situation but I thought she was being way too stubborn when it came to staying in Sunshine. Dell had his own issues of course, but he seemed more willing to go forward.
And I LOVED how he came through in the end. *sigh* I'm definitely loving this series. I can't wait to see what's going to happen with Adam in the next book.

That was a good one. good plot and hot. :)
GAH! I've got to stop reading my books so quickly. Then, I've got the rest of the week to debate starting a new book or what the next week's theme is going to be. LOL

I just wanted to check here before I selected my book, with regards to reading a book from a team members shelf. I can say pick a book someone read say in March as long as I don't go back past the given date, correct?
Carrie (ICanHasBooks?) wrote: "I just wanted to check here before I selected my book, with regards to reading a book from a team members shelf. I can say pick a book someone read say in March as long as I don't go back past the ..."As long as they rated it 3 stars or higher. :D
Week 4 - Main character has a pet (animal)
573 pg per GR
Wrath has a dog named George and Beth has a cat named Boo
finished 6/26/2014, ★★★★
I'm pleasantly surprised, as I enjoyed this book more than I expected. I loved the Beth-Wrath storyline, I liked the Assail-Sola one but I didn't care so much for the Trez-Selena parts. I'm interested in iAm, though (loved the iAm-Boo interactions!) and can't wait to read the next book about The Shadows.
I finished my book, I just haven't had time to review it yet! Will do so soon. Did you guys have a good weekend? Reading anything particularly amazing?

Glad you liked it, Elizabeth. I can't wait until next year. I'm so interested in iAm too. I was so floored to find out that he was a virgin.
Katie wrote: "I finished my book, I just haven't had time to review it yet! Will do so soon. Did you guys have a good weekend? Since the kids are out of school I'm not sure what they'll think if they see me sobbing like a maniac gripping my kindle. It better have at least a HFN!!

Also, listening at Hide, which is a really awesome mystery, so far.

Isn't it though? I though it had a Bridget Jones' Diary feel to it.
