LOL! I know, I do! I just need to find one that sounds really good.
My favorite this GBC was the Roads series. And I'm reading Behind the Curtain right now and at 60% I'm not a blubbering idiot....yet. :D
Oh, I don't think I'm up for Amy Lane angst! I've seen a lot of Garrett Leigh in bingo lately (this and last round). I hadn't heard of him before then. I'd like to check his books out, for sure. :)
Hey, question completely unrelated to anything bookish...have any of you used NatureBox or know anybody who does? Is it any good?
I'll be getting some reading in now later on. Last night I really got in the mood to read but I was out at yoga. Lol then when I got home and finished supper my phone, which I do my reading on, was dead. Sadly by the time it was charged I had fallen asleep on the couch, sigh.
Katie wrote: "Hey, question completely unrelated to anything bookish...have any of you used NatureBox or know anybody who does? Is it any good?"I haven't used it but their stuff looks super nummy!

Shannon wrote: "And this is when challenges become a little scary....Week 3: Fall Apart, 482 pages/GR"
Hahaha - this was one week I was really pleased to be calling the theme and not reading it ;)
Week 2 - Book by an author whose first or last name starts with the letter 'J'
Surrender to Youby C.S Janey
214 pages/GR
finished 6/13/2014, ★★★★
This book is a standalone, however, the other books in the series have characters that were mentioned in Surrender to You.
I have to admit that at first the book had caught my attention and I was getting into it, however, I found myself in the middle just wanting the book to get on with it. However, towards the end of the book I found myself really caught up in it and didn't want to put it down. I was quite upset that the author didn't spend more time with Elle and Simon's romance, I felt that there was more emphasis on the relationship between Elle and Stefan.
Overall, this book was a good read, I found myself surprised during certain parts of the book. The reader sympathizes with Elle, the main character of the novel, who was raped and had an abortion after she realized what had occurred. Ashamed and feeling alone, she started to alienate her boyfriend Stefan, who eventually left her. Elle fled to another a city, trying to start a new life.
5 years later, when bad news made her come home, Elle reconnected with Stefan. However, realizing that things could never be the same and learning some news that altered the way she felt about Stefan, Elle needed to move on. In walks Simon, the charming doctor who won her heart with his need for love and his honorable ways. It was a battle for Elle's heart and true love came through after all ...
Overall, I really enjoyed this book.

You can do it, Shannon!!!"
I have the attention span of a gnat so it might actually take me all week unless it's a really great book. Fingers crossed!

Glad you liked it overall. I hate when I'm into a book and then it starts lagging for me in the middle. I feel like I've come to far to give up but trying to get through sometimes is just torture!

Power! The power is intoxicating!
...Just wish it could be used for something more useful than requesting changes to GR posts ;)

Week 3: Read a book with at least 450 pages per GR
544 pages/GR, *5 STARS*, Completed 6.15.14Review: I have to admit, I wasn't exactly pleased when I found out that we were going to be revisiting a past couple and not moving on with the series, but I am sure eating crow now. I.LOVED.THIS.BOOK!!! I had no idea how much we NEEDED this book. We NEEDED Wrath and Beth to work on these issues, to work through the hard things and still come out ok in the end.
I was so happy to see less of the Lessening Society. I was getting tired of them. The Band of Brothers is being a bit of a pain in my ass too. I know that Xcor is going to get his own book one day, but I can not see myself liking that bastard evah.
Anyway, I was a blubbering mess by the end of this book. The end was so fitting. Wrath really grew during this book and made me fall in love with him all over again. I also hated him a few times during reading, but, he pulled through in the end.
But leave it to the WARDen to leave me with burning questions that I'm dying to have answered...like, what's going to happen with Trez and iAM. And what of Assail? That whole story line was intriguing.
Needless to say, I'm still a fan of this series. I can't wait to see what's coming next!
Week 3 - Book with at least 450 pages per GR
488 pg per GR
finished 6/15/2014, ★★★★
This one was more a romance than a romantic suspense and left me a bit disappointed since I was waiting for more action.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed listening to the audiobook very much - in contrast to the current listen of another Nora Roberts' novel I'm doing:( The narrator, Julia Whelan was awesome.
The story was entertaining, had lovable main and secondary characters, a slow building romance and a good small city atmosphere.

I'm reading this one next, Sassafrass! Can't wait! Glad it's so good and you enjoyed it!
It was awesome, Elizabeth. It was hard to get through at times, but man was it good. I couldn't stop reading because I HAD to know what was going to happen next.
Nice you guys! I'm feeling a bit like a slacker here. Only at around 45%. Sheesh, I'm going, I'm going. :D
Okay, it took me forever to find a book that I wanted to read and had 450 or more pages ... Week 3: Book with at least 450 pages per GR

Finished Week 3
Fall Apart 482 pages/GR ★★★This one was my least favorite of the series and I think it's because half of the book was dedicated to Mark and Zane from the last book and other than bringing Max into the story, I didn't see how they were all that necessary here. I also did understand Alarik's thing with Max being so strong considering they never even kissed or anything. Damon and Alarik had a bit of an insta-love thing going on that given the length of the book never felt completely developed. Basically I spent a lot of this book saying "why is this in here" looking like a kook who talks to herself.

Oh, YAY, you finished. Sorry it wasn't a good one for ya. That's the worse when it's extra long. It's like pulling teeth!
I understand about looking like a kook. I'm talking to my books all the time. DH doesn't even bat an eyelash anymore. LOL
Week 3: The Witness3 stars
Sooo...I liked it. Brooks is a great hero. I loved him. Abigail...not so much. I would have liked her more if she wasn't Brennan from Bones...like, exactly. I have no idea if Nora Roberts based Abigail on Bones, but it bugged me through the entire book.
Yeah, that last book was a wee bit painful to read but dammit at some point you just gotta get it done. lolI just messaged Carrie so hopefully we'll hear from her soon.

Bravo to you for powering through!
I am half way done my book ... I am loving it ... it's pretty funny and I have read previous books by this author and I really enjoyed them. Loving this challenge!
