Sunday morning, and a group of friends are going across by Rib boat to the Island of Sark (mile by 1/2 mile roughly), going to the only nice hotel The Stocks Hotel for lunch, swim at the hotel, horse and carriage rides in the afternoon, (no cars on the island), back 8.00 this evening.
Will take about 20 minutes by boat.
It's a lovely little island, so quite, have a look on the internet
The Channel Islands(re Jersey, the biggest, Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm and Little Herm.

Here in Melbourne, Australia we are turning up our heaters as we're having an artic blast with snow falling in places we've never had snow before. It's 8.30pm and tomorrow is a school day :) so I'm off to bed, snuggling up with a good book and a hot cup of cocoa
I am all ready for church so just checking the groups I am in and am running on goodreads and more. Will read more Midnight's Children later and do some writing too.
We are in the middle of our camping expedition but we came home long enough to do some laundry and to get more food. Just checking in with Goodreads.
I'm still enjoying midnight's children and will write more epicquest chapter 2 so it can post on Saturday later.
It is 12:03 pm in DE. I am at work and am ashamed to say that I have spent more time on Goodreads this morning than I have working. I have been reading posts and checking out books I'm interested in reading.
It's 10:38 a.m.getting ready to hop in the shower and take off for the day.
Totally off the beaten path here...........I am so enjoying my showers and baths lately. No, this is not R rated!!!!! My niece bought this soap for me..........one side says LOVE and the flip side of the bar says IS ALL YOU NEED. It's a bright pinky-red bar............that has patchouli nodes. Oh Lord!!!!! I love it. Hubby loves it.
Heading to the shower, with a smile!!!!!!!
Then, my honey is taking me away for the day........just errand running.........and lunch out.
Uh oh!!!!! thunder!!!!!!!
8:55pm getting ready to watch Under the Dome if can stay awake! Never cared much for Steven King, but I have learned on GR that the show is a King novel! Gonna give a book a try!

Stick with the book. 8:D
It's 6:45 am (PST) here in eastern Washington State and what am I doing? I'm listening to Morning Edition on NPR and checking what's been happening in my groups on Good Reads!
Janet wrote: "Nearly 2:45 pm and I'm um finally about to have some breakfast and a coffee!! :-\"Enjoy your breakfast Janet:)

I wonder how there daughter is going to feel when she see's that video,if she hasn't already.Wonder how or what her father will tell her.So sad.

10.34 am - admin all up to date, have made and delivered the morning tea for the party in the conference room (Blueberry muffins and spinach/feta tarts) and now catching up on GR before making myself a coffee (and no, no muffins or tarts for me!). 8:DHosting the local high school pre-ball tonight, and a wake this afternoon, so it's going to be a busy, busy day!
Been a very hot day in Jersey and my wife and I did our jewellery stall, for eleven hours.
Came straight home and ordered a Chinese Beef Curry, just so tired, as always on Saturdays.
Tomorrow travelling by plane to Guernsey(15 minutes)
to play for Jersey against Guernsey. Up to nine sets of tennis in one day!
Enjoyed the curry ! Just rest and watch The X Factor.

Last night was very weird here in Jersey, the whole evening we had flashes of lightning for over two hours, but no thunder and heard nothing, and no rain till hours later.
Must of just missed Jersey !

We had the thunder in NZ, but no lightning!
Made up for it this morning though. Very windy also. Heavy deluges of rain, then sun. Yes - it's spring!
It's 7 am here in eastern Washington State. I'm on my second cup of coffee and listening to the first hour of On Point on WBUR.
9:00 am back from emergency room waiting for Obama in iSOLation air strikes. Got up at 4 a.m. to let Cassie out. She had gotten sick during the night and threw up in the kitchen. I slipped in it and went flying! Put my head through the wall right below the window! CT scan normal tho but I sure have a headache

Oh my goodness Lavada, I am glad you are okay. You must have went flying!!
Lavada.......Bless your heart!!!! Glad you did not hurt yourself worse than you did. Banging your head can be tricky. Take it easy.I am just hanging out today. Yesterday I had an epidural (for my back pain) and it turned into inserting the needle three times. If this eliminates my pain for a year, i don't care. Am creeping around, taking it easy today. We had someone that wanted to look at the house, this a.m. And I had to decline. I just wasn't up to cleaning, steaming floors and taking the dogs out with me. Hope I did not screw up a prospective buy!!!!
Ter'e take it easy. I understand back pain can be so frustrating. Several people at work suffer different things. pretty much limits you! Dont worry about the house. if they are truly interested will make another appt! If not, they werent the right type of people for your house

Lavada.....what are we to do with you! I bet you're feeling a bit stiff and sore. Do take care. How is Cassie?

Ter'e! Hope you are feeling better today also. Don't beat yourself up over having to cancel the viewing. If they are really interested they will call again...if not, you didn't have your time wasted! Take care.
@Sandra she hasn't been doing good. she will be 15 in Feb and Im worried. took her to the vet Fri cuz she didnt want to eat. well she will eat chicken turkey etc. but not eating much. if she drinks too fast vet said she would throw up. wants me to guve her a few more days and take her in for blood work. just scared getting close.
Oh Lavada......this is the hardest part of having pets. My heart goes out to you. Love her with all you got!!!!
Tuesday night, family is asleep. Just me and a glass one wine writing a short part of the story on a separate sheet of paper. Fitting it in somewhere in the text tomorrow. Sometimes you write one of those sentences you look back upon and think, "Damn, that actually turned out better than I thought."
Lavada wrote: "@Sandra she hasn't been doing good. she will be 15 in Feb and Im worried. took her to the vet Fri cuz she didnt want to eat. well she will eat chicken turkey etc. but not eating much. if she drin..."Oh, I feel for you. I - too - am the caregiver for a 15 year old. Mine is an Aussie Shepherd/Catahoula mix. Luckily, she seems to only have a problem with arthritis. But I worry every day it'll be my last with her. Every day is a blessing. This is the longest I've ever had a dog last so I look at every day as a gift.
Our last doggie lived to be 19 to the day. She was a dollbaby. A mutt from the humane society. We loved her dearly. Once we put Rusty down, we went 19 years before getting another dog. Thats when we adopted Charley and then a year later, we adopted Blu. Of course, we had 4 cats spaced out in the meantime. But, there is nothing like having a dog. No home should ever be without one (or a cat). I think having our pets, keep us younger. Our dogs sure keep us entertained. Kirsten, my heart goes out to you too.
19 years without a dog???? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I could NEVER do that. After Misty's sister died of kidney disease, we thought of getting her a companion, but then we realized we couldn't do that to her.
Rusty was a small dog, right? The small ones live longer. Great Danes apparently only live 6 years on average. My dog is middle-sized (40 lbs about). I could never get a small dog. And we can't have cats as we're allergic here. (Plus I just prefer dogs.) However, all the neighborhood cats are always coming over - once they learned that Misty won't chase them.
Yeh, Rusty was a schnauzer mix. She was a darling dog.......but not the smartest one on the block. I have to say Sir Charles (Charley, the Havi) is the smartest little guy I have ever seen. Both our dogs are small.......about 11-12 lbs.We loved our cats, but there is a world of diff when you have a dog.
