Man alive Brenda.........#4 if not about Archie and Gretchen........but I am loving this one even more. I just love Susan to pieces. I hope Susan and Archie become a statement!!!!! Gosh this is good. Keeping me on the edge of my bed!!!!!
Ter'e, don't skip #4, though. You'll love Susan even more. And there's more history created that you'll want to know. :-)

What are some of those other books on your short list of 10, Ter'e?

Otto is a German Shepherd Dog, he just turned 8 years old and works as my service dog. I've had him since he was 8 months old.

Otto, great name, Lynn.
It's 9:45 pm, Saturday, December 20th, 48 degrees Fahrenheit in Auburn, Alabama, and I am sitting here looking at my wrapped Christmas presents, drinking a glass of wine, and watching Love Actually. Feeling incredibly blessed with the amazing year that I have had so far.

That was supposed to be that I've had Otto since he was 8 weeks old.
Thanks Christine, he is my baby. Since my children are grown and out of the house, he keeps me going.
6:00 am. EST in Pennsylvania U.S.A. Just finished a book after reading all night not realizing the time until I was done. :~) Guess I'll be sleeping thru the morning. Being retired is nice when you don't have to wake to an alarm anymore.
1.12pm (London, England)Am watching season 3 of Sherlock, while playing around with my laptop in a painfully transparent display of procrastination (I'm supposed to be writing...!)

I know what you mean, Lynn. Animals are just the best creatures on earth.
Janet wrote: "Go Lynn!! Sounds pretty good to me, Angelo!! Enjoy Sherlock, great show!"
Yup, am rewatching the show because it's so good.
(Am going to continue writing after this, honest...!)

Oh No Janet, my wife tapes everyone of these programmes!
With Randy helping the ladies, also watches the one called Something Borrowed Something New, with an old wedding dress from your mum or a new dress.

It's Sunday, Janet. You are allowed to not have a life!!
I even watched a programme showing how a US sweet called Tootsie Rolls (I think!) were made!! Have you heard of them?!
Tootsie rolls are an American institution, Janet, like Cheerios and Milky Ways! They have been around longer than I have. Every person in America almost certainly has had a tootsie roll, if not thousands of them! My fave form of the tootsie roll is the Tootsie Roll Pop. It's a fat round lollipop (solid dense lollipop that is very long- lasting) with a tootsie roll hidden in the center. YUM!!! I must have had over a hundred of those as a kid. Especially liked the cherry ones and the grape ones.
I love tootsie rolls, haven't eaten one in agesTootsie Roll Industries is one of the largest candy manufacturers in the world. More than 64 million Tootsie Rolls are made daily.
According to the company website, the original (and still current) recipe calls for the inclusion of the previous day's batch. "As such, there's (theoretically) a bit of Leo's very first Tootsie Roll in every one of the sixty four million Tootsie Rolls that Tootsie produces each day."

That's fascinating stuff, Malina. I was fortunate enough to grab a tootsie roll out of a basket of candy in a vet office a few months ago. Janet, you have to try one. They are pretty unique.
I've certainly never heard back them. Don't think they're available here. They did interview the current president of the company in Chicago.
Janet, I'm not sure where in the UK you're based, but there's a shop in Covent Garden that sells Tootsie Rolls, Twinkies, and loads of other US sweets, cakes, cereals, etc. Definitely worth a look!
Janet wrote: "Ah! Should have known they would be available in London!! I'm in the West Midlands."How far are you from London, Janet? I have no good concept of UK geography.
Ter'e wrote: "Chief is a German Shepherd!"Perfect name for a German shepherd. I was hoping he wasn't a teacup yorkie, lol.
christine.....i was sitting here, chowing down a pc of pizza, and burst out laughing. This was hilarious. My shelly is not the teacup yorkie type!!!!!
Thanks for giving me this terrific laugh tonight.

I saw a lady with a teacup yorkie at the nursing home yesterday. She weighed 3 pounds! I had to tell her that I have a cat that weighs 4 1/2 times that!

Janet wrote: "Sorry Christine, didn't see your post earlier. About 2-3 hours drive time."Do you get to London often, Janet?
Janet wrote: "Ah! Should have known they would be available in London!! I'm in the West Midlands."Ah ok, probably not worth travelling down just for a Tootsie Roll... Although I suppose it depends on how good they taste!

Definitely not worth it!
Janet......We just need to send you a big ole bag of Tootsie Rolls.....we could have really hooked you up in October..........Halloween candy!!!!!
They're available online. Had a quick look, but they don't look that appetising. Not a massive toffee fan. No, I've hardly been to London, got family there but not that fussed.
Auburn, AL, 3:48 am, I could not sleep. 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Watching an episode of The Americans and getting ready to read more of my books. I am reading 5 for the month of January, so I am trying to get a head start. Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!
