Regarding the book. I've just finished the 1st part and don't get this series. Like... at all! I really loved the Trilogy but this series is much much worse.

But the second book is definitely better than the first one. Here we already have some action as Inej is captured and the team is trying to save her. I liked this point.
And who is this grisha person from the first chapter? I hope we get to know soon and the book becomes more interesting and captivating. For now I'm really struggling to read it.

Hmmm....I haven't actually read the Trilogy, so I can't comment on that front, but(view spoiler)[ This book was similiar to the previous in that the beginning makes you want to give up so bad.....you have to get like a third of the book before you're actually hooked.

I'm wanting to read the trilogy too.....after this one.....how did you find it? I've heard very mixed reviews....some say this was the better series....and others that the Shadow and Bone was better (hide spoiler)]

@Trisha I enjoyed reading The Grisha Trilogy way more than this series. There were sparkles, and cultural aspect more present. Also the descriptions were better - you could feel all the cold, darkness, hot, wildness, even smells while reading The Grisha Trilogy.
The introductory part (where we meet all the characters) was not overwhelming and all the characters were so unique and well described, I expected the same from The Six of Crows and never get it.
Also the story was extremely captivating and the love lines were definitely more interesting and developed on a good pace.
And reading The Six of Crows series... first book I felt almost nothing till the last-ish chapters, love lines also felt kinda pathetic, simple and boring, no sparkles at all. Though the second book feels better (maybe because most of the characters are already introduced in the first one) and it jumps straight into action.

@Aaron also agree on this point. The Inej's chapter made it more interesting. I hope this book won't be as boring as the first one.
