Why do they all have the saddest back stories?

Just finished. Overall it was a good conclusion. I didn't enjoy it quite as much as Six of Crows though. There is so much potential in this world though. I would really enjoy more stories with some overlap from these guys.
I felt like theres going to be more front this world and even from these characters from the the way it ended. I wish it had a happier ending
You know, overall I think the ending was pretty happy. But I would definitely love more of them.

Hi guys, there's a new schedule to read this book on October 6th, but I'm starting it today and will read slowly as I don't remember the detail of Six of Crows now :)

I thought so, too. But it's just I spent my time and effort trying to remember who is he and then reread chapter 1 of Six of Crows. So I thought he has bigger role.
Guys, I need your thoughts. I've already spent almost three days with this book but I haven't even reached half of the book yet. I know I want to read it slowly but it isn't as engaging as I thought it would be. And I have trouble to keep reading it up until (view spoiler) Is it just me, or did you feel the same? I'm happy knowing you gave it at least 4 stars, though. So it must be that good.
I did feel this one was less engaging than Six of Crows. There seems to be more focus on the action and less on the characters, which was what made the first one so great. I would say just take your time with it. I did really enjoy it, but it wasn't as compelling as I would have liked.

I would say just take you..."Agree. It seems the six main characters have their own background stories here. I mean in Six of Crows we only have about Kaz and Inej. But here, we also get the other fours. Not it's bad or whatsoever, it's good actually. But it's just I also need more action now. Moreover knowing that this is the final book and hoping that it has great ending.
I'm still reading it, though. And try to more enjoy it :)
