⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) I know...and you're not going to wait anymore! I'm picking Cold Hearts and Candy Floss by Fran Hiatt for you because I like the title and Deadly Wedding (The Wedding Planner Cozy Mystery Book 1) by Robyn Bridges because I've got a thing for wedding planner romances, so am interested to hear what you think when it is a mystery!

Kay (Brigidsmomma) Compton (brigidsmomma) | 565 comments Thank you Trea! I'm looking forward to reading both of them now!

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 2004 comments Sorry, the time difference and I was down with migraine yesterday.

Kay (Brigidsmomma) I pick for you: Deadly Wedding (The Wedding Planner Cozy Mystery Book 1) by Robyn Bridges & The Marquesa's Necklace (Oak Grove Mysteries, #1) by P.J. MacLayne

Only now did I see, Trea pick for you already. So forget my picks - sorry again.

It's ok...I suffer from migraines too, and I hate them! At least we picked one of the same books, so maybe Kay can get to all three of them!

Thanks Agnieska, and Trea. With as fast as I read, reading three in September shouldn't be a problem! I feel extra blessed cause I got 3 books instead of just 2!!!!!! And I can empathize with the migraines - I get them too.

Hi Trea!!!

I have a better idea how September is going to go. I'm would be down for a buddy read if you're still interested. Had to see how school was going to work after it started.

I finished Let's Pretend This Never Happened (A Mostly True Memoir) by Jenny Lawson today. Really enjoyed it - the author is a total nutcase!

I tried to read A Fashionable Indulgence (Society of Gentlemen, #1) by K.J. Charles but couldn't get into it.

Karen D | 111 comments Finished both mine today - Odd Hours (Odd Thomas, #4) by Dean Koontz and The Progeny (Descendants of the House of Bathory #1) by Tosca Lee

Both were a bit of a let down. Odd Hours was definitely not as good as the others in the series, but not ready to give up on the series just yet! The Progeny was exciting, but realllly confusing.

Elizabeth | 489 comments This month I actually read both of my picks from Xeyra ,which was Assassin's Apprentice (Farseer Trilogy, #1) by Robin Hobb ( 4 stars ) and The Girl In The Ice (DCI Erika Foster, #1) by Robert Bryndza ( 5 star - this one I loved ) so thinks Xeyra for what was a great read

I'm so glad you enjoyed both my picks! And I may add The Girl in the Ice to my wishlist, if it's that good. :D

Finished Running Blind (One-Eyed Jacks, #3) by Cindy Gerard . I really enjoyed this book and I'm sad that I'm done with this series. I haven't read Black Ops though so I'm going to go back and read this series. This book had lots of intrigue, action, suspense and a nice romance. I really liked the characters as well.

I finished Patient Z and Stranded with Desire.

Patient Z 4 stars -- enjoyable zombie story. I would love to read more, but I think book 2 same world, different people. I'll still add it to TBR.
Stranded with Desire 3 stars -- It was fine. I know the intent of this Dreamspun Desires line is to be similar to the 1980's Harlequin and I think it succeeded. I didn't like the over the top villainous brother plot-line, but I shouldn't have been surprised by it.

Thanks for these picks and to our hostess as well.

Paula Reyes Wagner (paurw) | 300 comments I finished Entre tonos de gris by Ruta Sepetys thanks Connie N. for picking it, I love it, and I read it in one day, it's a sad story but strong, I hpe you can read soon ;)

I'm not sure if I'll manage to finish Stolen A Letter to My Captor by Lucy Christopher before the end of september, but I'll start it as soon as it gets here, I bought it online, because it wasn't available in Chile, I'm waiting for it to arrive, and crossing my fingers so it gets here soon enough.

Rita (xeyra) I've finished my pick yesterday! I enjoyed it very much up until the last 50 or so pages and then it kind of went downhill but overall it was an enjoyable read and I thank my partner for having chosen it as one of the two dusty reads in my shelves!

Year of Wonders: A Novel of the Plague by Geraldine Brooks - Sep 25, 2016 - 3.5/4★
Year of Wonders A Novel of the Plague by Geraldine Brooks

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1928 comments Margaret,

Finished Locked and Loaded (U.S. Marshals, #5) by Mandy Baxter as well. I loved this book. Best in the series so far. The characters and relationships were complicated and interesting. The RS kept me guessing and had a lots of twists and turns I didn't see coming. 5 Star book Thanks for the great pick!

Jenn (tellingmelies) | 540 comments Finished The Walled City by Ryan Graudin . Definitely interesting and was not at all like I thought it would be. Glad to check it off my to-read list!

Connie N. | 690 comments I was happy to complete one of my books in September:

If the Shoe Fits by Laurie LeClair - 9/26/16 ♥♥♥
If the Shoe Fits (Once Upon A Romance, #1) by Laurie LeClair

Fun, light, easy, and it fits many challenges, so it was big win for me. Thanks for the push.

Avid Reader and Geek Girl (avidreaderandgeekgirl) | 430 comments I probably won't finish The Book of Life (All Souls Trilogy, #3) by Deborah Harkness but I'm working on it!
