**Spring Challenge - 1/9/16 - 30/11/16**
Speaking of reading devices, I am so in love with my kobo aura hd that I'm finding that I'm opting to borrow the ebooks from my library rather than real books. I will always love the feel and smell of a new book, but the devices are just so convenient, especially with being able to enlarge the font when I'm tired, and so much easier on the eyes than a tablet.
My word is HATCHLING.H
A Akarnae by Lynette Noni (Aussie)
T The Stolen Throne by David Gaider
C The Creative Habit: Learn It and Use It for Life by Twyla Tharp

What a wonderful start to my 'spring collection', on of my As, in FRAGRANT.A terrific 5★ book, could be YA, but I recommend it to anyone. Magic artwork.
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness is the story of a 13-year-old boy whose mum is dying of cancer. He has a recurring nightmare, but then a monster appears and tells him stories that he and we all benefit from (after being appropriately shaken). Life is scary.

I am glad to see you liked it Patty; I absolutely loved this book too. I have re-read it too, and even though you know what is coming in the end it is still a magnificent, insightful story.

I look forward to your review Niamh, I have wondered whether I should look for this book.
I have finished my second The Invisible Man. It is a short book but I had some difficulties getting into H.G. Wells writing style.
A funny, informative one for a FRAGRANT R. You're Saying It Wrong: A Pronunciation Guide to the 150 Most Commonly Mispronounced Words--and Their Tangled Histories of Misuse by Ross Petras and his sister Kathryn Petras. The history is good enough to be interesting and short enough not to be boringly academic.
I've shared several examples of things we say wrong or cringe when friends say them wrong, as well as things I never knew. It's amazing how ignorant we can all be sometimes! :)
I gave it 4,5★ for an entertaining book. Great gift idea too.
