This is the first Colleen Hoover book I've read and I already really like her writing style.
Parts of Lily and Ryle's meeting seemed unrealistic but at the same time the scenario is one that many people dream would actually occur to themselves so I still like it... (hide spoiler)]

Hmm for some reason I immediately made a connection with Ryle and the death of his older brother with the story he told in the first chapter about the the young boy who killed his older, 5 year old brother by accident.
I'm thinking that maybe just maybe... Ryle lied about the boy being his patient and instead the story was really about him and his brother but he didn't want to tell Lily so he made up the story instead?!? I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens... (hide spoiler)]

The authors note is amazing, particularly how Colleen talks about her falling in love with Ryle and wanting to rewrite him as she didn’t want him doing those cruel things. But by doing that it really helps the reader see from the victims perspective, as they do truly love their partner. Such a great story! (hide spoiler)]
