And I am already kind of starting to like Lily, her full name is hilarious, btw :P But I really like her love for nature and gardens. OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD. He's back. Atlas <3 I'm rooting for him.

I'm not really sure about the pacing in this book. I'm really liking the story but the pacing seems kind of choppy to me. (hide spoiler)]

Upto chapter 8 (view spoiler)[ That begging for sex was hilarious! He sounded so desperate, and still I found that whole scene adorable. And he also had a picture of her in his house, which made me like him even more.
I feel so bad for Lily, especially after reading about how his father used to treat her and her mother. And Atlas' situation made me so sad. It was awful to see that he had to live like that. Which now makes me more sad because it's written in past tense and I'm almost afraid to know what happens between them (hide spoiler)]

I am really liking how the story is progressing right now. It was shocking to see Atlas in that restaurant. I mean, I had assumed he would make an appearance, but not so soon.
I don't know what to think of it since we still don't know Lily's last entry. It must be really important. I am really looking forward to see what happens next! (hide spoiler)]

Finished : (view spoiler)[ I felt the book dealt really well with such a hard topic. I could not help but feel sympathy for all the characters except perhaps Lily's father. I did feel Lily was too perfect she was just too squeaky clean all the time. Ryle needs therapy i can't remember if it was mention if he had had any after killing his brother. But he certainly needs anger management (hide spoiler)]

I actually feel really happy with the ending. I think she did the right thing. I liked that she was thinking of her daughter completely. Now coming to the book. Oh god, what an ending! This is probably the most emotional book I've read by Colleen Hoover, and everything was just so raw. Nothing sugarcoated. Which just made this whole story even more painful. And even though I did like Ryle's character, I think Lily made the right decision to divorce him. And that author's note made me more sad for this entire story :( Really an amazing book! (hide spoiler)]

I mean it was never mentioned if he was visiting anyone for the anger management. First Colleen Hoover book (not counting Never Never)!

Ryle: I like how relaxed both of them were in the rooftop. They're talking about some heavy stuff but in a different, lighter way. Fun too.

I want to meet present-day Atlas. His character intrigues me so much. And I think it will be interesting for Lily too. Also, love the name Atlas. (hide spoiler)]

Sounds like you don't often read contemporary. Neither do I, but I have read all of Hoover's books, and nothing else I've ever read has topped it. I just adore all of her books, but to be honest this is probably my least favourite of hers I've read. It's still incredible though!

53% done (view spoiler)[Holy moly mother! That last 5% was the most intense 5% of the whole book! First the way Ryle pushed her when he hurt his hand, and then the way he apologised so profusely. I think Lily should have just made him stay away for a bit though. At least she knows she can't deal with that.

And then seeing Atlas as the owner of the restaurant, and ending up in the bathroom with Lily! And then Ryle seeing and that whole fight! And all of those naked truths. At least Lily was honest though about why she didn't wanna go back to the restaurant and everything. I forgot that naked truth she told about Atlas on the roof the first time they met. But yeah that was an awesome 5%! (hide spoiler)]

That actually wasn't as bad as I thought. I'm kind of annoyed with Lily right now. All she can think about is the fact he pushed her again. She's gotta get over that! Can't she tell that he's nothing like her dad? And obviously they both handle things differently. The fact that he pushed her isn't like he slapped her. It's like he couldn't deal being closer to her because he's angry and he needed space and she wasn't giving it to him. That's totally understandable.

Oh wow he shot his brother in the head! That must have been impossible for him to tell her! And then she still can't get over the fact that he pushed her. He even explained what happened, and he was sooo open with her. She's frustrating!! (hide spoiler)]
