I know they love each other, but it's not healthy when love hurts (physically and mentally). I cried more when I read the author's note, it was such a sensible subject to bring up that I'm proud of Colleen and her mother myself. Now I just need to gather the pieces of my heart laying on the ground. Definetely not disappointed by this one. (hide spoiler)]

I wasn't disappointed by it either, definitely different to anything else she's written, apart from maybe Too Late, but that's more of an erotic kind of book. Out of all of her books though I think this one's my least favourite. Just not too sure which one's my favourite. (hide spoiler)]

So, so happy she didn't immediately rebound to Atlas rather let herself fully heal and bond with her child before she took that chance. So happy Ryle understood that she had to do it. The author's note was insightful considering Hoover is one of my favorite authors and it makes so much since that she is able to write her stories coming from a place of understanding. I liked this book a lot, it's a 4 star rating from me! (hide spoiler)]
