Baetool and Scout part 2
"They're harder," he said. "We have to coax that piece out of the afterlife somehow but I don't think Amora would allow that." He explained. "Or you have to die instead of him and somehow convince Amora to let the piece go."Elian shook his head immediately. "No, you're not dying." He said.
"Well, someone has to die and come back!" Talbott said.
"We'll leave you alone," Talbott said and took Phoenix before leaving with Reese to the kitchen."I don't want you to die for me," Elian said pleadingly.
Reese followed. "And I don't want you dying for me either." She said. "There has to be another way."
"Nat, it's either I die or you die. I don't want you to die," he said. "At least if I die, you can bring me back. If you die, I can't bring you back."
"Then I'll just have stay like this then," he said.Talbott piped in, suddenly walking back, "um.... I found a little something else...." he said.
Talbott pursed his lips and looked at Elian. "Um... whoever does it, has to have his blood," he nodded to Elian. "So... a parent... or an offspring or something."
She frowned. "We don't...I mean, you have Amelia." She looked at Elian. "But she's only three years old."
"Is this something we need to do now? Or can it wait?" She asked. "I mean...we want a family someday.." she took Elian's hand.
"Any day, I guess. But sooner is better than later, just in caee he dies without any preparation," Talbott said.
"Alright then. You can call me whenever you're ready so that I can prepare the spell," Talbott said.
Talbott nodded, "pretty much. Sorry for making you drive all the way here. I assumed you'd want to do it immediately."
Talbott nodded and picked his books up to carry them downstairs to the basement with the rest of his stuff. He didn't go back upstairs.

Elian listened quietly and looked down at Phoenix.
