It depends on if you are trying to win by scoring more points. Sometimes I really do want to win but that challenge got stressful when captains wanted you NOT to read books under 30 points. Also, as many books as you can get to adds Bonus points.
It also depends on the people.

Yeah, after my first SH, I'm not ever signing up again. It wasn't I expected it.I am playing Wobble though and we can read what we want and gain points by multiple means.
I've only won a couple challenges I've participated in so I'm used to losing. Lol. I don't mind. I still have fun. I love team challenges. And it definitely depends on who you play with too.

I'm glad that certain groups let you sign up with people. I only play with certain people now.
Krissy wrote: "Wobble is one I haven't played before. I was too late for sign ups"It's the first one. It's surprisingly good/easy so far. We're almost finish with Olympic Games and Wheelathon is next. My team is currently in 2nd place.

I guess they're waiting to see how this ends before making it a permanent thing. I know one of the mods so I can ask her.

It's 6 different games. So far we've done Battleship and working on Olympic Games.

Review: I've read this series countless times I still enjoy it. Blayne is one of my favorite females in the series. Although, I felt like the romance played the minuscule role in the story I was still happy with the outcome. I Bo's seriousness as well.

Just started my book this morning. Only read one chapter so far though. I have to take my girls to the movies this morning in a couple of hours. We are seeing Ghostbusters. My oldest and I have seen every Melissa McCarthy movie since The Heat in theater together. It has become something of a tradition. And my other daughter wants to see it too so it'll be a girls day out while the boys stay home.

Book: Just a Bit Confusing
Reason it fits: Straight Guys series #5
Pages: 202 @GR
Read: 7/15/16
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: Going with the series title you can tell that this is going to be a GFY (gay for you) book. This is a best friend become lovers. Now this was definitely a slow burn romance. Best friends James Grayson (gay, titled, wealthy) and Ryan Hardaway (poor, rough, straight) become best friend after fighting as 8 year olds in a park. Ryan goes in the friendship as a protector and like giving Jamie (a nickname only Ryan can get away with) what he needs emotionally. and James like being cared for. Forward to when they are 22, Jamie pretends to be happy when he is with Ryan and Hannah the person Ryan tells Jamie is the one. Lot of angst happens including Luke Jamie other best friend being kidnapped in Russia (Jamie is there with him because Jamie broke off the friendship with Ryan hoping that they could both move on). Ryan goes to Russia to Find Jamie and find him and Jamie is a pathetic mess because somehow being with Ryan gives him strength to face the world. They fly back to England to get help to rescue Luke. The epilogue is a teaser to the next book in the series.

Final Thoughts:
I love this series. But this book was not one of my favorites. I think it took too long for Ryan to figure shit out. And when he finally did it was almost instantaneously. It didn't feel like he eased into his feelings for Jamie. It felt like he went from no & resentment to yes & acceptance with a snap of the finger. But I still enjoyed it. And the epilogue has me foaming at the mouth for Luke's book!

Echo Burning
My Rating: ★★★★
Review:
Lee Child writes a long, convoluted thriller - my favorite. In Echo Burning, Reacher starts out hitching a ride in a small Texas town. He's surprised to be quickly picked up by a woman and things rapidly spiral out of control.
This book deals with some issues currently in the news, particularly racism. It's amazing how easily trying to do the right thing can go horribly wrong when people without any apparent conscience are involved.
As always, Reacher just wants to do the right thing and get justice for those who have been wronged. The reader gets to watch as events unfold, knowing the things going on behind the curtain, but not who is pulling the strings until the very end. Always a good read.
That's exactly why I stopped playing NBRC team games. It's drama and they last too long. After a while I felt like I'd been playing Tower Teams for a whole year
But I love dramaaa!! As long as I can watch it from the outside. I don't want to be in the middle of it. Lol.
Krissy wrote: "Sounds like there is some drama going down over in the Wobble game. Lol"What's happening Krissy?
Lol. I love the drama as long as it isn't my group.

Review:
This book was, as strange as it may sound, exactly what I expected and quite disappointing at the same time. It was what I expected in the sense that I knew before reading it what the characters and the story were going to be like, including the dialogues and writing style, since, at least within this series, the books are very much alike. What I did not expect was how much it drove me crazy! I guess my tastes have just changed because I found myself rolling my eyes half the time, and honestly, I skimmed some parts that I felt I had already read. So to sum up, the book wasn’t the problem, if you liked the previous ones and want some more of that, enjoy. As for me… I think I’ve had enough of this series, at least for a good while.
Last one in!! Sorry if I kept you waiting, it normally takes me a few days and I also struggled a bit with this one.

Final Thoughts:
I am not a huge Andrew Grey fan. I don't know why but I've never been really impressed with his stuff. But I keep reading his books because he always writes about my favorite type of MCs and tropes. So I'm happy that I've finally found a book I actually enjoyed. Tristan James narrated this audiobook and I really like him. The only thing that would have made this story better if there were dual POVs. I would have loved to get inside Ronnie's head.

Review: I won't give away the plot because it hasn't released yet, but I thought it as okay. Low angst type of romance. The internal monologues got on my last never. Felt like Nick would never show up. I did like Jai.

I personally think that SH would be less stressful if the teams were put into secret groups to keep track of there books and points. Like we are doing in the Erotica group for the summer bingo challenge. Because leaving it all out in the open like that makes people (myself included) obsessively keep track of all the other team's and their posted books. Then you notice a lot of us are reading the same exact books every month because we already know what the points are. I think it would be a lot more fun and less stressful if we can pick and read the books we want each month without worrying about what the other teams are posting and changing our picks over and over because we see another team posting a book that is worth more points.
