Review
Loved this book the characters are fully developed as well as , wonderful, sweet, uplifting, caring and funny. I found the antics of the dogs and all 11 children to be delightful. Quinn la a master story teller and weaves such a tale that is so vivid, that you as the reader can't help but feel as if you are right there feeling, hearing, and tasting it all.

★★★★
Set in Los Angeles in current day. This is the first book in the Detective Matt Jones series. Matt has been newly assigned to the homicide division and before his first day to start he is called in on an emergency basis. There seems to be a serial killer on the loose.
As Matt is investigating he is finding his efforts blocked at every turn and now strange things are happening. Cops are dying in "accidents". Matt isn't convinced and has discovered a coverup at the highest levels of the lapd. When one of his best friends commits suicide things hit too close to home because he believes there is no way his buddy would do that.
Fast paced and very timely I gladly rate this one ★★★★

Review:
I was interested in this book by new-to-me author mainly due to the plot idea TRIGGER WARNING!! (view spoiler)
The execution was done well. I appreciated that the author left the acquittal reason like this instead of it becoming the girl falsely accused. The plot was fairly predictable otherwise - both the MCs are attracted to each other, decide to project a fake relationship but of course they fall in love with each other. What made it better was the characters themselves - their motivation, aspiration and reactions. I was rolling my eyes when they confessed their love towards the end - that felt obligatory.
To conclude, I would say this is a very nicely done New Adult tackling a different topic. With the Rape Culture that seems to be prevalent today, it's good to have such positive books. And even tho the topic is slightly heavy, the book is not. I do recommend this to contemporary lovers.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I love most of the Nora Roberts book that I've read but this one was absolutely not one of my favorites. In my opinion the story was lacking something. What you may wonder? I'm not really sure I think maybe a little spice or a little more romance. I was drawn in by any of the character and I didn't fall in love with them. Over all i'll have to see if I want to continue with the series.

★★★
Charlie has quit the NYPD after the brutal killings of his wife and child and moved to Maine in hopes of starting over as PI. He is asked by a woman to visit her deadbeat ex to get back child support. After his visit the woman and child are murdered and the ex is on the run. Charlie is taking this personally and goes on the hunt.
This is the quietest team I have ever been on. Is everyone just really busy?I had a weird night last night. I am a hopeless insomniac so I was up in the living room reading last night about 2 am and I see a flashlight bobbing around outside and pretty soon it is coming towards my house and someone is knocking on my front door. I am freaked out and try to ignore it hoping they will go away but no they knock some more and than start ringing the doorbell.
Well the doorbell ringing wakes my husband up and he treks out wearing nothing but his boxers and yells through the door that he is calling the police and to get the #$% off of his porch.
From the other side of the door the guy says "Sir, this is the police". So hubby turns on the porch light and sure enough. Here is a policeman standing there with a Kevlar vest on. Evidently they got a 911 call about yelling, screaming and shots fired. I had been up about an hour and didn't hear anything but it sure freaked me out to have someone pounding on the door at 2 am.
This is not the quietest team I've been. I was in another group. There was really no interaction except for the weekly postings. I sort of lost my motivation for the game except that we were in winning for the last week. I had to catch up on all my reading that we were behind on.

Wow. That is the weirdest night. Must be freaking scary to see flashlights not to mention knocking on the door in middle of the night. One of my friends had a similar story except that it was a drunken guy came to wrong house and started screaming/shouting. Luckily they had a grill that they lock every day.

And you are right it is hard to stay motivated without any team interaction. Maybe we should all introduce ourselves or something.
sorry I'm not talkative. normally I'm really talkative. lol but it has been so busy lately. I'm a stay at home mom all day then at night I'm a waitress/bartender. by the time I get home my head hit the pillow and I'm out. lol now that my sisters baby shower is over I'll be on more. lol

Review:
Well, this was pretty interesting. It's still following the MC from the previous books. They all pretty much stayed the same. And I have to say it was refreshing to see the MC admit that doing the deed together during danger time actually distracted themselves. And finally the person who actually did it - I really did not guess. Will be continuing with the last book in the series so far.
How is everyone's week so far? Mine was hectic but two more days to go and then I'm off for a week. Got a family function. I do have my next book prepared tho in my Kindle.

My week is going good. I gave driving lesson to one of my twin's tonight. She did really good only had one flub at home. She got a little too close to the garage scratched the mirror and little around wheel well. Other than that I'm pleased with how she drove. Up next is her twin sister's turn, now she makes me nervous.

My week is going good just tired we took the kids swimming yesterday they loved that. On Saturday we will going to see Suicide Squad can't Waite I have been waiting for this movie to come out.

This was a great little love story about Ford and Tara. They were once young in love teenagers when something unexpected happened which made Tara move away. Well she is back in the second book with her fun crazy sister trying to get the Inn their Late mother left them.
This book was adorable. I love it. It had everything a romance lover likes. drama, romance, action, and so so much more. I can't wait to see what happens in the books following. I think I've finally found another great series to read.
This week has been crazy. This week i had to work both monday and tuesday so I didn't get much reading done so I luckily got to push through the last 3/4 of the book today. lol Luckily my kids were well behaved to allow me to do that. I was planning to read all day yesterday but it was my husbands day off too so we got a lot of other things done then decided to take the kids swimming. That is exhausting. lol Can't wait for the roll tonight!!

Review: An okay YA read. I remember liking the previous two books much better than this. It was a long time ago so maybe it was me who changed.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a fluff book. Not needed to read in order.
Vi could you please input the correct bookcover from Isla and the Happily Ever After to Anna and the French Kiss?
