hey everyone :) I'm so excited to play again. this is my 5th round I believe. I'm a mom of 2 and I love love to read.
it's great to meet you too! I've been captain every single time I have played so it might be nice to not be captain but if no one else wants to be then I can. anyone have any name ideas? also I am currently on vacation and I had to walk half a mile to find this cell reception so I might not answer until Wednesday when I return. but I will try my best
12 Steps To The Top 5 Pages Left
Dreaming With Your Eyes Open
Us against The Rest
Romancing Your Noggin
Hero's and Heartthrobs
I can be Co captain if ever you can't be there. I'm also in central time zone so I can roll on Friday nights since I'm normally up til then anyway. but if you'd rather roll that's great too. I like hero's and heartthrob or 12 steps to the top.
Hi all!! I don't know which time this is but I've had fun playing all the rounds. I can't be commit to be captain this time around but I can help with the roll. Great suggestions, Joeera! I like 12 steps to the top or 5 Pages Left.
Looks like the whole team is here. Strangely I am not getting any notifications of new posts. I do for other challenges so don't know what that is about. The only name I could come up with based on being 12 is the midnight maidens
Thanks Angie and Kayla for volunteering for captain duties.
Why do we need to wait and roll until Friday night?
I can roll early Friday morning which is about 1 am East Coast time. I'd also like a vote for team name by tomorrow night. Most picked is the winner.
I like Joeera's suggestion of 12 steps to the top for our name.I'm anxious to get the game started. Way too much waiting.
12 steps to the top is fine for me as well.I just finished a book. now which book should I start next.. and just a day before the roll too. BTW ladies, I'm from Singapore which is 12 US East Coast + 12 hours.
@Vi. Just curious. Do they have a good library system in Singapore or do you have to buy all your books? Do you have a kindle? I just wondered if you could get books through Amazon there.
Sheila, the library system in Singapore, imo, is very good. Of course, my only other experience is in India which didn't have any. We also have overdrive which has a decent collection (geo-restriction!!!) of books that we can borrow. But it's only epub since Amazon doesn't sell Kindle here. I have Kindle (from US) that I use but I have to strip before moving them. It's a complicated process but I have no choice.
Only 2 mins to go.. I haven't read a book from yesterday (well, I re-read one but that doesn't count).

Nice roll Angie. We are off to a good start. I'll be reading
Death of a Glutton by M.C. Beaton'(Hamish Macbeth #8)
Sheila wrote: "Thanks for the info on the library system. Vi. I've always wondered how other countries loan books."When I had a Sony, it was fine. (I loved those readers.. full metal body. Felt so good. ) It's only when I shifted to Paperwhite that the process became lengthier. It's still better than nothing. In India, Amazon sells Kindle there so there's a vast selection. So far, shopping at Amazon US website hasn't been an issue as well. All in all, I'm totally invested in e-readers.
What a perfect roll (for me :P)! I was planning to read
that is #8 in Duncan Kincaid & Gemma James series this week
Week 1 - Spot 8
Death of a Glutton by M.C. Beaton'(Hamish Macbeth #8)
Kindle Edition, 228 pages
Finished 7/16/16
This is #8 in the Hamish Macbeth series. Hamish is a constable in Lochdubh in the northern highlands of Scotland. Normally it is a quiet and quaint little area composed of an array of characters but in this book there has been an invasion at the hotel. The Checkmate Singles Club is bringing their find a mate group to Lochdubh.
One of the women stands out due to her obnoxious gluttony. Of course the fact that she is very rich complicates matters. When she ends up murdered with an apple stuffed in her mouth Hamish has his hands full solving the case. There are no end of suspects since basically everyone hated her.
★★★
Everyone, Ezi asked that we put how the book fits the challenge in our posts. I don't know how many are playing both versions. Just wanted to make sure we do the correct postings. Thanks!

Review:Brooke Dumas is in love with Remington "Remy" Tate aka Riptide. Brooke can't imagine her life without Remy in it. Remy will do everything in his power to make Brooke happy even if it means sacrificing himself in the process. How much will their love grow? Find out in Mine.
Hi guys.
I don't necessarily need a "qualification" line, but if you roll a 9, I expect you have something like post 32 written by Sheila. I can see how the book selection fits with the Spot

Week 1: Spot #8 - #8 in Series
Book: And Justice There Is None by Deborah Crombie
How it Fits: #8 in Duncan Kincaid and Gemma James series
Date Read: 18 July
Rating: 4 stars
Review:
I loved this addition to the series. The mystery was tight and I'm too engrossed in the series to really bother abt whodunnit. At #8, the author has established a good pattern which really works for me. There's the case with Duncan and Gemma's thoughts and then (a) random person(s)' flashback or story with both of them tied together at the end. The romance and the development is very understated with most of it happening out of the screen.
I would recommend this series to anyone who'd like a good mystery with a bonus of setting in UK.

I somehow fixed the problem. Still confused as all get out.

week 1 spot 8
Book:Hard Eight
Author: Janet Evanovich
8th book in stephanie plum series
Date finished: july 21, 2016
Rating: ☆☆☆
REVIEW:
I read this book back in 2012 and loved it. I went ahead and read it again and I wasn't as impressed as I was the first time. Don't get me wrong I still loved the book but as I've read all her other books I kinda knew what was going to happen. I love all the characters. I absolutely love the things that happen to stephanie and how her men come to her rescue. I still am a huge Janet evanovich fan and can't wait to read some of her other books.
