Thanks Gremlin :). Ah, never mind about Blue Lily, Lily Blue. Good series to read if anyone else fancies using that one.
Ok, so all I've got so far:
Red:

Orange:
Yellow:
Green:
Blue:

Purple:
Bonus - Black: The Raven King (Now read)
Hmm, need to have a look through my 'to read' list to fill in all the blanks in my challenge!

It definitely does! You can even see that it's used as an example in the challenge rules :)

Red -

Orange -

Yellow -

Green -

Blue -

Purple -

Hmmm... It definitely does look more brown than yellow to me as well.

Ok thanks Gremlin. Will consider this a bonus book (Had to read it to get to the other books in the series that will be good for this challenge anyway) and will read

I feel like the word "blood" for

Not really the focal point of the challenge.

I'd count it. Definitely the predominant color and seems to be more than 50%. :)"
Thanks Gremlin! I've finished #1

Updated post #7

I think I'm with Hillary on this one. I see "Blood" like I see the word "Brick." When coupled with the word 'Red' it describes a shade of red, but I don't see it used by itself as a color. Does that make sense?
Think about using a sentence like this when choosing colors words.
"The dress she wore was a vivid shade of _____"
If you put the word "crimson" or "emerald" in there, the sentence works. It doesn't work so well when you put the words "Blood" or "Brick."

I've finished 2 books and updated my original post accordingly:
Red:

Yellow:

I started it to finish my chain for the last challenge but didn't get very far before the end of the month but realized it would work for this one and restarted it in July.

Welcome to the challenge, Akc! I hope you have so much fun that you join us in future ones :)

It looks like you're mistaking me for Kelly #22, but I'm KellEy #36. I've completed red and yellow. And I actually need added to your list in message 2. Thanks!
Kelley
P.S.: Kelly #22 has read 2 books also--yellow and blue.

Great catch, Kelley! And my apologies (I must do this once at least every challenge :P).
Also, thanks for letting me know about Kelly#22's completed books! I won't know about them unless the person posts directly to the list about it (which it doesn't look like she did?).
So as a reminder to you all you challenge cats - please post when you finish so I can update your listing! I don't get notified if you change your original listing.

Actually, while I'm here, I've finished my red book as well,

Actually, while I'm here, I've finished my red book a..."
You're welcome. As a fellow Kelly, you kinda stand out to me. ;)

So I have a question. I started and finished

I think I'm with Hillary on this one. I see "Blood" like I see the word "Brick." When coupled with the word 'Red' it describes a shade..."
True. Especially when it put it in sentence form like that. I kinda see blood red as a color but if you get that specific every word could be a color.

And I see these as orange...but do you guys?

I apologize but any time I'm not using a book with the word in it I'm going to need help. I see color differently then most other people, always have. I'm not color blind but it just seems like the hues are different to me. I'm always being told i'm wrong about color.

This is a tricky one, Casey! To me,

The other two titles that you list don't look orange. One looks red and one looks green and ... kind of brown?
Maybe take a look at some books on this list for orange ideas: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/7...
Admittedly, it's not a perfect list - but still has a lot of good ideas. We're happy to help validate any questions, though!

Oh man. This is a hard one. I feel like it's more black than orange. Anyone else want to weigh in?

Oh man. This is a hard one. I feel like it's more black ..."
That is to my eye, even if you condensed it only about a third orange. The remainder is gold(the lettering other than the W) and black.

This is a tricky one, Casey! To me,

I am with Gremlin, the first book while it does have a lot of yellow, I wouldn't say 50%. Of the others the 1st is red and the 2nd is reddish/greenish mash.

This is a tricky one, Casey! To me,

Ok Thanks guys. I've got this one for orange and I'm pretty confident (I carried it around asking people in person lol)
