Hey i don't mind. At least you're picking good books for me. If you'd just help me read these other ones...
:)
At least I'm pushing books you're already interested in. I need help also reading my laundry list of backlog titles.

I plan on starting the most recent book in Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Tales, The Flame Bearer, in the next few days. Word on the street is that an eleventh book in the series will be dropping in October. Anyone else in this group nearly caught up on the series, and want to read Flame Bearer?

I've already read this but I'm up for book 11 when the time comes. He really should have ended the series after this one.

Anybody want to read the first Mistborn
book in either August or September? I'm probably the only person in this group who has never read it, but I'd love to discuss it.

If you do find time, we could do it as early as next month or as late as October whatever works for you.
I was actually just looking into reading the Mistborn series as well! So I’d join your group :) August works better for me
Katie wrote: "I was actually just looking into reading the Mistborn series as well! So I’d join your group :) August works better for me"Oh, Cool! Early, mid, or late August?
I just can’t do that first week in August for the Mistborn series. So maybe sometime after that? Or mid August? What works for you? 🙂

How about Friday, 20th?

Thank you! Looking forward to the read! 😁
Does anyone fancy Heartland by Lucy Hounsom?
I was thinking at the end of the month, maybe Monday 30th July?
Hey!I'm going to be reading The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie if anyone is interested in a Buddy read? No particular date set yet as I'm waiting on it's delivery from Book Depository.
If there's any interest hit me up!
Dave that one has jumped up my priority list quite a bit. I'd love to BR it. If I put a hold on it today, I'll be 5th in line on 3 copies, so I'll likely get it mid-end of August sometime. Would that work or did you want to dive in sooner? :)

I'd be interested too but August is already pretty filled with BRs for me, so the beginning of September would be better (only if you'd be willing to wait so long, of course :) )

I might join you if you don't mind; it'd be a re-read for me, but I have a load of Joe Abercrombie books to get through so I might as well start again and tear straight through!
Veronica and Mayim, would Wednesday July 25th work for reading Tyrant's Throne book 4 of the Greatcoats series? Anyone else interested?
Does anyone want to read Gray Mountain by
John Grisham? Starting today

Yeah that sounds fair enough! I think it will be end of August anyway before a few of us have a copy of the book. I opted for Hardcover so the cost of that is an extra 2 weeks of a wait haha Anyway let's get back in touch closer to the time?

A re-read is always a good sign! I've heard a lot of hype about this book so it's been bumped up on my list. It looks like it will be the end of August before we start, if you're willing to wait then you're more than welcome!
Niki Hawkes wrote: "What if we sent a tentative date of sept 5th and we can adjust it if need be? :)"Sept 5th works for me
anyone interested in reading Peter Grant by Ben Aaronovitch with me starting from Whispers Under Ground (I have read first two books)? and remaining books of the series from August to December?
Dave wrote: "Niki Hawkes wrote: "What if we sent a tentative date of sept 5th and we can adjust it if need be? :)"Sept 5th works for me"
Would you guys be ok with 10th September? I already have a BR starting on 5th.
Niki Hawkes wrote: "I think my library hold might expire by then. Could I counter with the first? :)"Not every date is going to suit all it seems. I think we should set a date of the 1st and we can adjust the reading speed based on where people are in the book. That way, we should all be able to catch up to the same point if people start late.
What does everyone think of that?

Yes, we can start earlier of course if you can't borrow the book that long. I'd be fine with both 1st and 5th then, so set the date how it works best for you. I'll manage somehow :)
Okay, thanks Bea for accommodating. :) Like Dave said, we can figure out a way to pace the reading as we go.
I'll get a thread ready.
