A book away from an episode of hoarders (fidgit77) | 740 comments I'm late to the party but is The 5th Wave (The Fifth Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey yellow enough for the yellow/orange shelf?

Turtlecollector Dennis | 153 comments I am trying not to read books for critical shelves before they are called if possible. So I would like to confirm this works for blue cover and I should wait to read it in case that shelf is called.

Venom (Elemental Assassin, #3) by Jennifer Estep

message 337: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25912 comments Yes TC that works perfectly for the blue/purple cover shelf.

Alas, not for us (team 1) who still won't even have 4-in-a-row despite not being behind on our reading.

message 341: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments Not all the potentially winning teams have all their books read either.

message 346: by D.G. (last edited Jul 05, 2014 04:12PM) (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments Question...

The original description of the "Hit the Road" shelf in msg 1 of the Shelf Announcment thread said "any form of trasnport in the cover" so I was counting that horses, boats, bikes, ships etc. would count but I see that the thread announcement says "Any mode of mechanized transport on cover."

Can we please get a clarification on which way we are going? I already had several books picked just in case but nothing has a car, plane or motorcycle, which I think would be the only ones that counts if they need to be mechanized.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 400 comments Will these work?

Every Trick in the Book (Novel Idea, #2) by Lucy Arlington Iron Kissed (Mercy Thompson, #3) by Patricia Briggs Lending a Paw (A Bookmobile Cat Mystery 1) by Laurie Cass Murder of a Small-Town Honey (A Scumble River Mystery, #1) by Denise Swanson

message 348: by Jennifer H (new)

Jennifer H Would a hot air balloon count as mechanized transportation?

message 349: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25912 comments Ships are definitely mechanized, even sailing ships. I was just trying to get away from walking.

message 350: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25912 comments Yes Lizz, Amy & Jennifer.
