Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments Just finished my gummi bear book.

Do you think werewolf and a wolf shifter is the same thing? I'm thinking on changing my werewolf book.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 1866 comments I've been reading the Virgin River series by Robyn Carr. Love it. Also just finished Bluegrass State of Mind (Bluegrass Series, #1) by Kathleen Brooks which was really good.

Snowtulip | 4679 comments Thanks Karen and K :D

Now I have some choices, and free reads!

message 4757: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Just in case you go with Cherry, I found a book that works for "Call"
When Evil Calls Your Name (Dr David Galbraith, #2) by John Nicholl - LOL!

V (when you wake up!) - It's the second book to the the first one we read earlier in wobble
White Is the Coldest Colour (Dr David Galbraith, #1) by John Nicholl

Snowtulip | 4679 comments Seveneves by Neal Stephenson is completely appealing to the science nerd in me...but I am need of a little romance balance ;)

Should be done with it tomorrow night!

I'm wondering if I can handle that many feels with that Cherry book...since Tristan completely slayed me in book one!

message 4760: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments I know, right?!!! Why did I think you'd read the second book already?

message 4761: by Snowtulip (new)

Snowtulip | 4679 comments Probably because I LOVED the first book...what's the matter with me!!! I should have had it read already!

I'm going to do The Fire Between High & Lo (Elements, #2) by Brittainy C. Cherry on my kindle and Bluegrass State of Mind (Bluegrass Series, #1) by Kathleen Brooks on audio :D

Just as soon as I finish Seveneves...of course ;)

I think they are close enough to the same thing...

message 4763: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments I might have to read The Fire Between High & Lo (Elements, #2) by Brittainy C. Cherry next too... Have read a lot of dark lately...

You keep changing your mind on that book, T! LOL!

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments Ikr!! It's because I start it, then my mind blanks out. I am most definitely going to have to read it by next week. It's due.

Hello peoples!

I have returned after catching a lovely sunburn on my neck/chest (t-shirt outline - fantastic when wearing tops cut in a different shape :-p).

Awesome work on that new card already!!

As I figured, I didn't finish even one of the books I took with me haha. But at least I only have 70 pages left to read in Murder of Crows so that'll just go on the next card as I don't think it'll fit anything here.

message 4769: by Karen ♐ (new)

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 1866 comments Hi, E! Hope you had a great time! Be careful with that sunburn.

It was really lovely, yes! I think I'm definitely going back to that city some time in the future :-)

Haha, yes! It's typical though. I have fair skin and burn very easily. It's already much better than it was on Sunday!

Sorry to hear about your bug, btw! Sucks that it put you behind in recuperating, but at least things are still getting better, even if slower :-)

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 1866 comments Hoping this antibiotic works. Not feeling much better but I still have a couple days of the pills to take.

message 4772: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13761 comments Mod
Hopefully those couple of days will make the difference!

I'm heading off to bed now, maybe to read a few more pages ;-)

Snowtulip | 4679 comments Could we use Alex's Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli for strawberry...red cover like a strawberry?

message 4776: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Welcome back Eeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! Glad you had a great time!!!

This is first time I've gotten on GR and its on dumb phone app. Today was brutal and am so happy to have it behind me and a glass of wine in hand. Dinner optional!

ST - I vote yes! Let's see what E says in the morning. I think I'd say yes to about anything right now. Heehee! But the cover looks strawberry colored to me! Woohoo!

Yay for now book Jessica! That very may be our last square! Yippeeee!!!

Btw - Jessica - were you or did you read man called Ove for cat cover? It's possible I missed it or I'm just making stuff up so thought I'd check. ;)

message 4777: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 296 comments I'm pretty sure Alex was going to read that one. I noticed it was in my color on the spreadsheet and I thought I mentioned it, but it probably slipped my mind.

message 4780: by Ghost in the Stacks (new)

Ghost in the Stacks I banked us a few books hopefully for next card, since I didnt beat the crowd to the door.

I will be camping over the holiday weekend, I am leaving Friday after work, and wont be home till Monday evening....
Just incase you all miss me...which I doubt...but just wanted to let you all know. I most likely wont be able to log any books until I get back on Monday.

Ohhh! We are camping over the holiday too! I plan on letting my boys run around while I lounge in the hammock and read (or nap). Are you going to a state park? We are going to Possum Kingdom :)

message 4783: by Alexandria (new)

Alexandria | 149 comments Yeah I'm reading A Man Called Ove. I'm about 1/3 of the through. I have quite a bit of time to read today although I don't know if I can finish it. I will come back later to give an update. Quite a depressing story so far.

message 4784: by Ghost in the Stacks (new)

Ghost in the Stacks We are going to Beavers Bend it's big camping location out in Oklahoma. It's actually with my face to face book clubs we go every year...

I'm honestly not sure anymore if someone claimed a "Now" book or not. But it won't be lost if you do read it, Karen! :-)

message 4792: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 296 comments I finished Okay for Now last night (it has ice cream on the cover so if we can make a "sweets" connection b/t gummi bears and ice cream, then we can use it for that square).

IMO, this is what reading challenges are all about! I would have never picked this up on my own, but I was specifically searching for a title with "now" in it and came across it. I LOVED this book! So glad I read it :)

message 4793: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments I love when you come across a book through a challenge you wouldn't necessarily read and end up liking it so much!!! That's awesome, Jessica!

OK - Since Karen is also reading a book for "Now" I think that's a great idea to use this for gummi bears as I just went through our banked books and didn't find anything to work!

message 4794: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Please feel free to make any changes to your spots/books on the claimed books tab if you ever need to! That tab is for all of us to use to mark our books and so forth since sometimes our thread goes a bit haywire and we miss information.

This week has been especially tough for me to keep up it seems!

message 4795: by K~Terror (last edited Sep 01, 2016 07:04AM) (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Jessica - When you get a chance, can you check your "read" date for 'Okay for Now' book. For some reason it is showing an 10/1/16 read date.

message 4796: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 296 comments I totally read it in the future. Duh!

LOL! It's fixed. I didn't get a chance to post on GR after I finished it last night, so I guess I goofed when I was trying to fix the date. Thanks for catching that!
