Snarling Sabertooths
Good morning all! While we are waiting on a card pattern it looks like we are well on our way to another blackout. I just got
from the library and it has a cat on the cover! So I'll start reading that today.
Sorry I went MIA yesterday. Life has been increasingly busy this week. I was going to claim the skeleton or skull square with Rebel Ink (skull tattoo) because it was open on the spreadsheet then came here and saw Tamika was going to claim it. So I'll remove it. I'll still read it and bank it and if we need it, it'll be there.

GR says it's 257 pages but I don't think that's true. It only took me like 2 hours to read it and I don't read that fast... but I'll take it. Makes me feel like one of you super speedy types ;-)
LaurLa, I know what you mean, I just finished my supposed 900 page book...but reality is that it was probably like 400-500. I know this because another book that I'm listening to that's 1000 pages is taking me a lot longer than that...I spent the same amount of time listening to it last weekend and am only 25% through it.
Did you grab spot(s) Abbie?!!LaurLa & ST - you're blowing me away. My family is over AGAIN today putting a crimp in my read time. Lol! Hopefully I'll finish my train book tonight.. :)
Your family seems to love you!!I did yard work all day long, so it was perfect to have my earbuds in the whole day :)

LOL! They sure do! Our place is more centrally located apparently, so any family gathering that are planned are at our house and we seem to be the last to know.. Mi casa su casa
Abbie - Where did you go????? Here are our unclaimed spots at the moment:
-------------------------
1. Title contains Sword
2. Strawberry
3. Gummi Bears
4. Title contains Now
5. Title contains Call
6. Wood Heart
7. Title contains Gate
8. Z
K ~ this might be a stretch... but here it goes..."Wooden Heart" was a popular Elvis song. I didn't finish The Apprentice but I do remember that the funeral guy in the beginning was listening to Elvis b/c the corpse he was getting ready was an "Elvis girl". What do you think? is that connection enough? I saw that you have The Apprentice in banked books.
Hmm.... Interesting & very creative! It may work... I keep coming back to that square and trying different interpretations. So far, that one is at the top of the list! We'll note it and see if anything else comes up between now and when we're ready to wrap up this grid.I was also thinking about the corn square as ST's vegetarian book works for either corn or square. At the time I thought 'corn' would be harder to fit so slotted it there, but now thinking about moving it to strawberry because was thinking it would be easier to find a book with a setting in one of the big corn producing states... (Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, Minnesota, Indiana are top 5)

Oh, I like this, I like the way your brain is working :)
ooh liking that Jessica! !! I've started my Touch book, and read a couple of short smutty ones for the bank lol

I think I have that one too!
Jessica wrote: "Hahaha thanks!! I've been wanting to read The Sword of Summer. Perfect timing :)"It must be a sign!
I'm liking it a lot too ~ I only have a couple more hours left on it and I'm not sure I'll be able to go to bed until I finish it. ;)
Before I log off for the night, here is my parting list of open squares:-------------------------
1. Strawberry - or - Corn
2. Gummi Bears
3. Title contains Now
4. Title contains Call
5. Title contains Gate
So, for "strawberry", what about a book by the author with the last name "Cherry" since they are both fruits?
Can Call be Caller?Sorry, my husbamd made me help him with yard work this weekend. Barley got on line.
Alright.. If my Strawberry book is a stretch, I will go with "gate" book and read "Gates of Evangaline"
I finished this last night. It could be another option for wooden heart. The h is an artist/sculptor who works on a wood sculpture for a maritime museum that is being built in their town

Cherry/fruit sounds good K I think that would work & LaurLa's could work too, but I still like the Elvis connection from Jessica earlier
If strawberry is still available after I finish "gate" book I may grab it but since we only have four left now, will leave free for someone else!
LOL! Sometimes that's all you need for a great day! HaHa! Just finished Truthwitch... Hmm.... It started off incredibly slow... picked up and ended up 'liking it' ok, but not sure I'll read the next book.
I won't add that one then lol. These ones are good, reminds me of the Sinners books by her if you haven't read that series you should!
Think Lick series but dirtier haha
I'm still reading Truly Madly Guilty, it seems to be going on forever, and I still don't know what happened at that bloody BBQ !!
HaHa!!! I have TMG on my TBR and it's one I was really looking forward to reading. Is it kind of slow?I haven't read Olivia Cunning but have noodled her books before. I'll have to bump up!
Truthwitch is like a slow Throne of Glass... LOL! It felt like there was a lot of potential but I didn't really know enough to care about it until the end. Then a bunch of stuff was thrown at me and I'm not sure I properly captured it all. Still scratching my head a bit...
It's good but is is really slow, I haven't read one of her books for ages so I'd forgotten that she really goes into detail about everything.Yes you must read Sinners series, I love those boys ♡♡♡
I'm pretty well sucked into
. I'm not sure if you have to be in the right mood for it or what, but it's kind of creepy and definitely keeping my interest.. the pacing is more like a psychological thriller.. sort of slow build...The feel is sort of like the Graveyard Queen series... only I think I like this even better because of the mystery/plot.
