Milon boasts that he once read 5 different series numbers for a single wheelathon word.

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments Oh yeah!!! I call dibs on #2!!! I'm starting The Apprentice (Rizzoli & Isles, #2) by Tess Gerritsen tomorrow.

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments This difficult bingo. Who's responsible for this bingo idea?

message 4155: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Not me! I'm gonna try to read that stuff again tomorrow when my brain is less mushy.

I'm sure I can find a book for any of the series numbers... Everything seems to be a series anymore. Lol!

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments We probably have a lot of books in series in the bank!

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments K~Terror wrote: "We probably have a lot of books in series in the bank!"

Oh yeah, I don't have to rush.

Absinthe of Malice (Sinners, #5) by Rhys Ford Motel. Pool. by Kim Fielding Spirit Legacy (The Gateway Trilogy, #1) by E.E. Holmes

message 4162: by K~Terror (last edited Aug 17, 2016 07:39PM) (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments I just put the first one through the color extract and I would consider it safely green!

Absinthe of Malice:
40% Black, 5% gray & the rest is different shades of green -- so 55% Green

message 4163: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Motel. Pool. --> 57% Green

message 4164: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Spirit Legacy is 98% Green
Woo-Hoo!

message 4165: by Snowtulip (new)

Absinthe of Malice (Sinners, #5) by Rhys Ford it is!

It's also #5 in series...if needed...

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5108 comments whoop series books!!!!

Wicked Ride was #4 if it hasn't been used yet?

Bingo doesn't look so bad actually, it reads scary but when you filter through its mainly choose pattern and read the squares in pictures or words, trying to hit the bonuses and miss the sharks.

Bonus = more points
Sharks = whatever book we put in that square will be "eaten" and not able to be used, so we have to fill it again. (Fi gers crossed it's not a colour title!!)

Go with anything above 60%! That's the cut-off for NBRC.

Yes, we've got a ton of series books in the bank! So finding 5 different ones should hopefully be doable without anyone having to read something specifically for that.

BINGO RULES Summary

• Bingo cards have two types of squares: text squares and picture squares.
• Text squares state the specific task needed to be done to complete that square.
• Picture squares have a picture. It is up to the team to find a book that they feel represents that picture.

• To complete a card a specific bingo pattern must be chosen and covered. Additional squares may be completed outside the pattern.

• Bingo cards have two types of surprises: Power Squares (multiplies points) and BingoSharks.
• Every team has 1 BingoShark on their card. If a book is submitted on the BingoShark, the book will be eaten and cannot be used until the next bingo card is started.
--> Another book must then be read for that square, fulfilling the same task.

Good to know:
Leftover books not used in Wheel-a-Thon WILL NOT be used for Bingo (or the event following Bingo). We will however be able to use them in the last part of Wobble.
Only books FINISHED during Bingo can be used for Bingo.

The patterns have been posted onto the Spreadsheet.

In case you have trouble accessing the spreadsheet via app, or whatever, here is the text explaining what the patterns do:

Turtle - Change one square to a "free" square where you can read any book
Picnic Table - Use a book from the Travel Agent Account
Telephone Pole - Replace one of your squares with another square on the board. (Request via Mod)
Letter P - Request a new card (Request via Mod)
Bow Tie - Add an additional power square to your board, Must be a new board (Request via Mod)
Stamps - Increase all undiscovered x2 powersquares to x3 power squares (Request via Mod)
Diamond - Pre-Feed the Bingoshark on your current board (Request via Mod)
Coverall - 50 Bonus Points

What We Need From You:

Which pattern would you like to use for our very first Bingo card?

I could cover Monsters with Murder of Crows since the Others are considered monsters and cruel and evil by the general populace, aka the humans.
(Besides, it's MPG paranormal, vampires, werewolves, etc, etc, so all the things that go bump in the night and are often considered monsters.)

EDA: This book also works for #2 in series. It was a pofm book for me so I'd really like to get it in this month, one way or another.

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5108 comments I would say anything like Vampires/Werewolves etc would class as monsters too right?

I'd say so, yes.
Great minds think alike, once again hehe. I just edited something like that into my above post.

message 4181: by VNerdbooks (new)

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5108 comments lol I thought I'd missed that first time after reading that

So train could be a train journey of some sort

Mittens - Snow, snowball fight, cold day wrapped up??

Goggles - swimming ??

ice cream - Hot day buying ice cream from vendor ?

keys - getting in / out of front door

Easter eggs & Gummi bears ???

Eldarwen | 13763 comments Mod
Gummy bears --> sweets --> sweet shop
or
Gummy bears --> bears --> bear on cover/bear shifter maybe?

Mittens --> hockey romance? ;-)

Key makes me think of The Archived (The Archived, #1) by Victoria Schwab .

message 4185: by VNerdbooks (last edited Aug 18, 2016 02:58AM) (new)

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5108 comments Easter eggs... anyone read Ready Player One by Ernest Cline I remember easter eggs being in there (they are hidden things in computer games/movies etc)

Ohh Disney have lots of easter eggs, so Disney references??

Easter Eggs Meaning -
an unexpected or undocumented feature in a piece of computer software or on a DVD, included as a joke or a bonus.

Tamika, what's the page number for His Royal Favorite (His Royal Secret, #2) by Lilah Pace ?

We'll have to ask our lovely librarian fairy to add them again since the book doesn't have any editions with page numbers.

Thanks!
