And yes, it was 12 hours ...I think...but no blinking, as you had to start over.

Okay okay, because I'm nice... :-p
Wheel-a-Thon rules summary
◈ To begin, the mods will "spin the wheel" and assign each team a W.O.B.B.L.E themed word.
◈ The team's task is to read books to spell out the word.
◈ For each word there will also be a colour task.
◈ Once teams have read their word they can "re-read" the word to gain more points or if they don't like their word, they can re-spin the wheel to get a new word.
◈ Note: The wheel can only be re-spun if the spell-it-out of the word AND the colour task have been completed.
◈ The number of colour tasks required for bonus points will increase by one with each new word. (2nd word, 2 colour tasks, 3rd word, 3 colour tasks, etc.)
◈ Each week the number of colour tasks required for the bonus will decrease by one.
For the Spell-It-Out
First letter of:
- book title
- author's name/surname
- narrator's name/surname
- character's first name/last name/nickname
--> A character is defined as a person who has at least a few lines of dialogue. At least!
'A', 'An', 'The', can be ignored.

That's where this Wheel-a-Thon differs completely from the "normal" version.
There is no set time when a new word will be spun. The team decides for itself.
If we decide that we're fed up with a certain word, we'll spin for a new one.
Alternatively, it's a matter of points. We only get a 15 point bonus for completing a word the first time around. If we complete a word a second or even third time, we won't get the completion bonus.
On the downside, for every new word we spin, we get an extra colour task. While for the first word, it's only one colour task, for the second word, it will already be 2 colour tasks.
Of course, it also depends on the colour tasks. If it's one that can be easily done - all the better! But we know from experience that some cover colours for instance are a pain in the long run.

Okay, I will leave it up to you all to determine if we "spin" again.I am not on enough to have input, and I am sure it would be a last minute/quick thing.
Kelly is currently working on the spreadsheets and was hoping to have them online by "tonight", which is US time, if I'm not mistaken, so I'd say, let's all have a look at the first word tomorrow, see where that'll take us and then go from there?
We will need specific difficult letters to be covered and we will need colour tasks completed. The books read for the colour tasks need to be used for the spell-out as well.
We'll have to coordinate a minimum since we do need to complete colour task and finish off the spell-out before we can spin for a new word.

If you happen to come across one of those really pesky letters Q X Z Y W then they are always welcome as there are a few of each.
Woo new challenge! That is really tricky on when we want to get new words. The bonus 100 points makes it really tempting to want to spin the wheel as much as we can, but the color task does make things more challenging. So interesting I love it! Well I still have a book to finish before tomorrow night so I can't stay long.
I am, thank you. I just finished Boy Meets Boy which was cute. A feel good book to break up my reading of Liar, Temptress, Soldier, Spy. A very interesting book, but it follows 4 different women and keeps jumping around to each of them which I find very annoying. I started listening to The Help on audio. So far I love it! It's so funny!
I hope you are getting to read some books from your giant tbr list! And that you are enjoying your reads as well. :)
Oh my gosh I loved The Help on audio it was like a movie in my head!!I enjoyed Boy Meets Boy too it was really cute, I'm reading one at the mi ute that I'm not really enjoying, although it has started to get a bit of ooph now but it's gone 60% so I'm invested to finish it now lol, that has been a long 10 hours!!!
OMG - I've been sucked into work today and now trying to get caught up on GR. Why is it so crazy moving from one game to another. I swear my gear-switch gets stuck every time... The only Harry Potter narrator I'm familiar with is my daughter (trying) to read it in her British accent... She used to say she doesn't like reading "in her head" so she was always reading out loud when she was younger! LOL!
Well if we get more points for words, then I just say we spin after each word.We will need it to catch up next round.
Okay, message 3007 confused me...I was like, "what does that even spell?" Wasnt sure how you all spell things in Europe. Also, how the heck do we have over 3000 messages?

Lol that is just the letters that there are the most of, and we are the chattiest team in the world haha
Well we better get banking these messages...Those Harpies are close to our heels at 2391, we wouldnt want them to take the lead or anything...
I have to go home now... no more playing on the internet after work tonight!I'll check when I get home to see if Nichole figures it out..
I can't wait to have internet back at home....
PS. I hate Comcast
I know! My daughter and I were watching Psych, and he plays an Art theif. I was listening to his voice, and it came to me all of a sudden that is was Wesley!I had to google it to make sure...and was was very surprised...especially since I havent seen that movie in years! I have no idea how I remebered that voice, after all that time..
It seems I have once again put my entire team to sleep....The only person who wants to talk to me is on the Quacking Hedgehogs Team.
Lol! Yeah, I'm supposed to be finishing my book for a certain challenge...I Love that movie, btw! It's my husband's favorite so we watch it at least twice a year.
