K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Stone Cold should show up now. The read date wasn't set for some reason. :(

BTW - Finished "Can You Keep a Secret" -- definitely a really cute mood enhancing story! Thanks for the rec, E!

You're very welcome!! I'm glad you enjoyed it :-D
I was half-way through when I took a reading break this morning, but I'm going to pick it up now to finish it :-)

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments I'm currently reading Helping Hand (Housemates, #1) by Jay Northcote , do you think it works for Arm on cover?

message 2906: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13759 comments Mod
I'm inclined to say no. There is a bit too much cut off around the edges. So just to be on the safe side, I think we should rather use it for something else instead.

Snowtulip | 4679 comments Back home!!!

I can do both the Iron and Bronze books for Book Into the Distance...let me know if they are already taken!

Snowtulip | 4679 comments So, now that I'm back on my laptop, my updates now have a different look...does anyone know how to view group discussion updates on my feed?

message 2909: by Snowtulip (new)

Snowtulip | 4679 comments I'd also like to claim ARM, starting

Room for You (Cranberry Inn, #1) by Beth Ehemann

message 2910: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 2386 comments Finished (again) ARM for bonus book into the distance...

message 2911: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments There's definitely an ARM spot open, ST. I can make another one open too if anyone wants the one I'm currently working on. It's a kindle so may take me a little longer anyway.

Sorry for delay in responding - family invasion today for my brothers birthday. Lol!

message 2912: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Woo-Hoo LaurLa!

ST - are you not getting notifications coming thru? I haven't been on my laptop all weekend.. I should probably take a look.

Since you have an arm book for round 2, you can't read for Iron, but you can claim the Bronze spot if you want? (That's Round 4.)

WHAT STILL NEEDS TO BE DONE

Spots open for Event 3 - Book into the Distance

First Bonus Set - Round 4:
↪ Read a book for the gold: page count 501+ - Abbie

Second Bonus Set
Round 2
↪ Read a book with an ARM on the cover (full arm, shoulder to fingers, must be visible) - Jessica

Round 3
↪ Read a book with the word LEAD in the title (no variations) - Snowtulip
↪ Read a book for long distance: page count 401-500p - V Nerd

Round 4
↪ Read a book with the word BRONZE in the title (no variations) - Snowtulip
↪ Read a book for the gold: page count 501+ - Tamika

We would preferably need to read something for all these tasks, otherwise we will not be able to claim points for the books that have already been read for these various rounds.

Jessica | 296 comments Do you think

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2) by J.K. Rowling

will work for "Read a book with an ARM on the cover" in round 2?

If so, you can mark me down for it.

message 2925: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13759 comments Mod
Yeah that should work. You can see shoulder, arm and most of all the fingers.

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5107 comments E can I just check something?

I'm reading Saint Anything for the 401 - 450 spot, and doing the audio, but the default edition is coming up as a foreign version (unless I've searched it wrong) am I okay to change it to an English version? it has more pages but only about 20 or so, so it won't make a difference in points, or shall I just leave it as it is?

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments V Nerd wrote: "On Friday T"

Thanks. I don't have to rush then. I have two small books I want to read and bank first.

Huh, odd that the default isn't English. I'll check with the mods to make sure.
Honestly, I'd say take the English version since you're obviously not reading it in .. I want to say Swedish.
Besides, page number won't make a difference for the task it's needed for.

I'll get back to you as soon as I've got a reply!

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5107 comments Cheers chicky I thought it was just me, I was going to post an update (and also read the blurb as I went in blind) and realised I had no idea what it said lol

V, just shelve the audio edition and we'll use the page override feature. Might just make it all easier in the end.
