Oh I'm sure! The only reason I didn't jump right into book 2 was because I didn't want to stare at it on my Kindle without a spot in the challenge to use it.

I really liked it. It is gruesome, dark, and altogether disturbing, but not in a sickening/crude kind of way. There weren't many tie-ins to the original Alice in Wonderland except for the characters names (this is definitely not Wonderland). In that respect it was extremely interesting to see the wicked spin put on some of these classic characters. Honestly that was my favorite part of reading this book; to see Alice as an adult that has spent the last 10 years of her life in a insane asylum was a nice deviation from the original. If you like dark, then I think you would enjoy it :)

I read Henry's Black Wings series and some books I really liked, and others just draaaagged, so it's nice to hear what you thought about this one, since it's something different from that series.

I'm not even sure how to answer that. The first two had me wanting more! But I said "seriously" to myself, out loud, more than once during book 3. I did not like the end. It was almost like Fisher and Hoover lost their memories and forgot the awesome ending they were planing for this story. Just a little disappointing.

So here is the summary... it is kinda long... sorry. I have a problem condensing. LOL!

• Boy (Silas) and girl (Charlie) have no memory (NONE) – this after bumping into a girl in the halls at school that everyone calls “The Shrimp”
• Things they figure out:
o They are dating
o Their dads were business partners
o Dads got in trouble (insider trading etc.)
o Charlie’s dad went to jail, Silas’ dad did not
o Charlie’s family had to more out of their expensive lifestyle into a somewhat run down lifestyle
• They go to a Tarot card reader and she reveals some suspicious cards – at this point I am thinking some kind of Voodoo curse was placed on them!
• They kiss, Charlie freaks out and runs away and doesn’t show up at home that night or school the next day
• Silas finds a note from Charlie and Silas to themselves stating that their memories are wiped clean every 48 hrs at 11 o’clock; Silas realizes this while he is looking for Charlie with minutes to spare (till 11) so he writes himself a letter with everything he remembers from the last 2 days and tells himself to find Charlie first thing.
• Book ends….

Book 2
• Charlie is missing the entire book
• Silas is under suspicion for her disappearance
• Silas tells Landon (his brother) everything
• Silas find letters between himself and Charlie that explain a lot – he learns that they decided to break up
• Police confiscate all the notes that Silas and Charlie wrote to themselves
• Charlie is being kept in a locked room and being fed meds to keep her sedated – she has no memory
• Silas goes back to the Tarot Card reader and gets information on the picture of the gate that is both in the shop and in Charlie’s room
• Traces the gate to Charlie’s old house
• Charlie breaks out of captivity
• Silas jumps the gate to Charlie’s old house and finds Charlie – She was being held in her old house
• They realize that the new owners of her house are the Tarot Card reader and her daughter – “The Shrimp”
• They are hours away from losing their memories again
• They get a hotel room and write notes to themselves and wait


Book 3
• Charlie has no memory
• Silas remembers the last 2 days – did not lose memory this time
• Retrieve their letters from the police
• They decide to go see Charlie’s dad in prison (Charlie’s sister Janette joins them)
• Charlie learns that “The Shrimp” is her half sister
• She also learns that the Tarot Card reader (The Shrimp’s mother) kept her captive b/c Charlie was trespassing on her land and she thought Charlie was on drugs/detoxing…. Huh?
• Charlie realizes that Silas lied about losing his memory
• Silas suggests that when they decided to break up then they messed up the universe – yeah - soulmates…. I’m not kidding….
• They figure that if Silas still remembered the past 48 hrs then that means he has fallen back in love with her and if she is going to get her memory back then they have 36 hrs to make her fall in love with him… again, not kidding…
• They spend the next day doing romantic activities including an impromptu game of “Silas Says” in the rain
• They end the night with a kiss and a decision to go make more notes in case they realize soulmates don’t exist in the morning
• They come to the conclusion that they weren’t good people before; money corrupted them
• 5 seconds before the 11 o’clock deadline they say “I love you” to each other
• At 11 they are kissing and they magically remember everything from their past
• Then they promise to Never, Never fall out of love again
• 20 yrs later they are still happy as ever with butterflies and everything…….
• And then they figure out that their daughter is going through the same thing with her boyfriend (hide spoiler)]

I knew I wasnt going to like it.

It should of ended with Silas blowing the entire house up, cause he realises that real life sucks, and after being married for 20 years he finds out that his daughter really wasnt his, her daddy was the pool boy, back when they could afford a pool. Now he is working 2 jobs to make ends meet, while his wife is getting high and sleeping with the college student next door.
