Metallica's S&M album is one of my absolute faves. I'm not much into the rest except for some songs. But S&M...
I already had a tendency to love instrumental music hehe - I'm a film music fan :-)

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments So good morning!

Yeah, if it wasn't Backstreet Boys (if I listened to pop) it'll be them.

I don't if anyone else listened to B2K but that's my generation and what I was listening to.

I have about 275 pages left. Stayed up late reading.

My fave Ed Sheeran is "I see Fire" but in the Kygo Remix.

It used to be the song we stretched to at the end of a Zumba class.

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments I love the original Ed Sheeran "I See Fire".

It's so beautiful.

At least it's done and over with :)

Looks like you could do YA, Fantasy, Scifi, Romance, Historical, Paranormal, Contemporary or mystery. We have lots of options :D

Either another one, or the same one. We have fantasy and YA in abundance, so if you want to read another of those, feel free to! We've got lots of bonus books to fill for the various tasks :-)
There's also contemporary, mystery, historical, sci-fi, paranormal, romance for you to choose from.

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Alexandria wrote: "Finished that boring book. Shall I just pick another genre then?"

That good, huh? ;) Yep, pretty much. Eldarwen has a post on the first page that shows all the open genres for task & bonus books ("Hits") -- feel free to pick one of those!

It sounds like we had similar tastes, Abbie - I didn't know anyone else listened to Crash Test Dummies except me. My family used to make fun of them but I am pretty sure CTD has grown on them by now... (At least in my mind...).

Snowtulip | 4679 comments Hmm, I just finished Charged (Saints of Denver, #2) by Jay Crownover and I'm not as swayed by this NEW Avett as most everyone else that has read this book is...

message 1378: by Snowtulip (new)

Snowtulip | 4679 comments So, I'm reading The Assassin's Blade (Throne of Glass, #0.1-0.5) by Sarah J. Maas (kindle) for Fantasy

Going to start another Fantasy The Broken Eye (Lightbringer, #3) by Brent Weeks (audio)

message 1379: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 2383 comments Finished my Historical!! It's in the read thread (there's that rhyming again!!)

Going for contemporary next because it looks like we're still waiting for Mystery primary tasks to be done.

message 1380: by Karen ♐ (new)

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 1866 comments I hope to have my Mystery book done today.

message 1381: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13731 comments Mod
Yup, mystery primaries aren't done yet, but you can still read one. We're going by first come first serve, so to speak.

Everyone of us has read a primary book, so we don't have to worry anymore about who is going to read for what.

So whichever two mystery books will be done first, those are the two that will go into the primary slots and every other mystery finished after that will go into the bonus slot.

(Same goes for all the other genre tasks.)

message 1382: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 2383 comments Makes sense but now I've already settled on a contemp ;-)

message 1383: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13731 comments Mod
Yeah, don't do what I did yesterday and start three books you ALL want to read at the same time because they're all awesome ;-)

And now I'm going to jump back into my own contemporary, which I'm hoping to finish tonight.

message 1384: by Karen ♐ (new)

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 1866 comments Lol. I purposely stopped myself from starting more than one...We get one more guess for hits, don't we?

message 1385: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13731 comments Mod
Yup, on Monday we guess another 10. And then that's it for Battleship.

So, let me just put this out there right away:
On Monday we're able to guess another 10 shots - our last ones. Let's make it count!! Where should we fire on the battleship board?

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments Woo hoo!!!!

Finished my mystery book.

We're back in third!!!

Should finish my fantasy book tonight.

I'll be traveling for 14 hours tomorrow to get to Maui.

I'll be reading on the plane so don't worry.

message 1387: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13731 comments Mod
Yesss, back in third, and only 11 points behind the 2nd place. So maaaaybe with your mystery, your fantasy, my contemporary and whatever else we might potentially get done tonight/today, we could end up in second place (if they don't suddenly finish a bunch of books as well).

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments Eldarwen wrote: "Maui, nice! Are you going on holiday?"

I'll reading of course.

Don't stress over the reading though if you're doing other things :-)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Woo-Hoo! Lots of reading time Tamika! Oh, and beautiful sun, sand & sea too. :)

I just finished my historical and will post in read thread shortly. Have a migraine messing with my vision and only have a basic idea what I'm typing. Lol!

Will start mystery book next. Thank goodness for audio!

Yay for moving up in ranking!
Great job everyone!!

Ya, not many people have heard of CTD. I love the lead singers voice, it vibrates all the way to your toes....or maybe its just me...I played their CD about a million times...I still have it, back from my Highschool days!

Definitely. I take little breaks and listen to my audios when I can also.

message 1399: by Alexandria (new)

Alexandria | 149 comments Just got home from a wedding. It started late so I downloaded an audio book (Sharp Objects-Mystery) because you guys all talk about them so much. I've never done one before but maybe it will be my new favorite thing! So what edition do I add to my shelf?

I also started reading Pure. Pure (Pure, #1) by Julianna Baggott
That can be used for YA, Romance, or Science Fiction. I should have this one read within a few days.

message 1400: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13731 comments Mod
If you're doing audio, then please shelve the default edition of the book, i.e. just the first one that pops up when you search for your book.

If you want, you can also shelve the audiobook and then us captains will do a page override.
