I feel like such a slacker haha. And I totally forgot that I agreed to go to this make-up party/presentation/thing tonight as a friend of mine is hosting it. So I still won't finish a book today. Tomorrow though!!

I'd say, from now, let's try and reduce the books read for misses (unless you're out of other tasks of course) as the bonus books give at least +1 per book, which the misses don't.
My G8 is completed: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...So after reading that last message, I FINALLY get that we can only read one book per task, per person...I was thinking I could use Historical again as bonus...but it is all clear now...guess it just took me a moment...

Both primary spots have been claimed (Abbie has already finished one of those just now) so it'd be a bonus book.
Actually, all the other primary spots for hits have been read now, so it's open season on bonus books hehe. (Until our next set of guesses on Friday of course.)

I really enjoyed it! The crazy way it is written kept me interested when at times the story seemed to move a little slow. I probably would have given it 5 stars if I like the heroine a tad more. She just seemed a little *meh* to me. You could tell that she was written to be this strong female character, but I just felt she was a little dull with a some badassery sprinkled in here and there.
But... other aspects of the story were really compelling (agh! Can't give anything away). But I can totally see how this is a love it or hate it kind of book. I would at least try it if you are on the fence because the way it is written makes for a fast read. Does that help? I don't ever write reviews b/c I am so not good at it. LOL!!!

Woot!! I hope you'll continue enjoying it :-) It wasn't even the best in the series, in my opinion.

I'm happy to know I'm not the only one who hasn't read Mercy Thompson, Tamika! I'm just now making my way thru the series as well... Liking it so far!
