Ghost in the Stacks What is super funny is when my sister and I were kids, our parents wounldnt buy us Ken, so we took one Barbie, cut off its hair, and dress her in skimpy cloths, and Named her Town Slut Barbie!

Yay for Tamika's Mojo!!!

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments LOL. Thanks ladies, between the burglary, family problems, and this damn diet. I feel like a different person.

It could be that I haven't had carbs, or sugar in a month.

;(

Its all right, we all know life can drag you down.

At least you sticking to that diet! Good for you!

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments Yeah it did. It was a combination of a lot of things as well. I am glad though that I'm feeling better.

Thanks hun!

Wow, that is impressive, Tamika!! I wouldn't manage a month without sugar!!

message 6816: by Ghost in the Stacks (new)

Ghost in the Stacks FYI , I do have a but load of Audio I just got...it seems I got them all at once, so most if them will have to be banked as they are not series, but I am trying to look for a series on audio I might be able to get, so I can listen to it in between to help out more.

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments Eldarwen wrote: "Wow, that is impressive, Tamika!! I wouldn't manage a month without sugar!!"

It's not easy to manage at all. Sure I've had slip ups. Only two turtles instead of the entire book. Only 1 chocolate chip chunky cookie instead of the entire sleeve. I've been replacing those with fruits. Lots of stupid good for you fruit.

That is why you are not suppose to go away.

Ummm. I don't drink caffeine either. No pop, sugar, juice.

I don't drink coffee, ever.

I've only drunk water for the entire month.

I had a glass of wine for dinner a couple times, but other wise just water.

That hasn't really bothered me. My face is clearer.

message 6823: by Ghost in the Stacks (new)

Ghost in the Stacks ....I could never give up coffee....

message 6824: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13735 comments Mod
I have never drunk coffee, except for one time to try and I did not like it. So I'm coffee free. The only time my body gets caffeine is when I drink a coke, which is a rare occurrence, or when I take a headache pill which weirdly enough has caffeine in it.

But really, that is impressive, T! To stick it out like that, despite everything. Absolutely way to go!! Keep it up!! :-)

message 6825: by VNerdbooks (new)

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5104 comments ah fair play to you Tamika i couldn't give up caffine

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments LOL. Yeah, I just never got into the coffee moment. Every cup I've ever had was more creamer then coffee. I like the flavors.

It's hard but the water doesn't bother me. I drink 64oz of water a day. I feel like an elder person having to pee all the damn time though.

message 6827: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13735 comments Mod
Hmmm that's a good amount though, or so they say. It's what I usually drink in a day as well, and have for years.
The peeing.. well.. your bladder gets used to it at some point ;-)

message 6828: by VNerdbooks (new)

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5104 comments is it wrong that the Barbie story made much more sense to me than the actual challenge haha

message 6829: by Ghost in the Stacks (new)

Ghost in the Stacks See, Berit saved the day!

message 6830: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments I drink about that in water... but then also drink about that much in coffee... :(

It worked for me too V!

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 1866 comments Hi, everyone! I'm back from my son's wedding...exhausted and even more so since I read all the messages I missed...So right now, as I'm reading series books, I put them into the new ss? And I do have one that was finished on 10/6 that I don't think ended up on a ss...so do I just add that to the banked ss?

message 6837: by VNerdbooks (new)

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5104 comments i think i may have got that one Karen if not then pop it into the page that we can sell for gold as only books finished after Labours can be used for Emerge

No worries, Abbie! :-)
It's nice to have free days like that!
I was cleaning and nursing a headache, and now I'm doing some NaNo prep, but I'll soon head to bed for some quality reading time! I need it now and my book is calling to me, really quite loud by now.

message 6845: by Karen ♐ (new)

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 1866 comments I'll check it out, V. I have a #3 that I will be reading next. I'll put it on the ss. I'm finishing up a #11 so I guess that won't count.

Thanks, everyone. We had a fantastic time. The wedding and reception were beautiful. Everyone drank, ate and had a great time. My new DIL did a fantastic job. I'm so exhausted I fell asleep reading my book this afternoon...lol.

message 6846: by Karen ♐ (new)

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 1866 comments I looked up the ss for trading for gold and I don't see it, V. Her Dakota Man (Dakota Hearts #1) by Lisa Mondello I'll put it in the Read Book thread as I don't see how I can add it, if that's ok.

message 6847: by VNerdbooks (new)

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5104 comments yes thats no problem Karen, we can move things around if needed.
You can also do an 11, i think there has been more spaces added to the ss so add away lol
