Agreed, Tamika. With all the crap he's already said, people are only now, because of this (granted it IS terrible), realising that he's a complete bastard and not fit to be any kind of leader for anyone.
I thought we were only claiming two at time... and then adding more claims when we finished those.Because everyone saw what happened when I lost my mind and claimed 4 books before realizing I had less than a week to read them. Granted we have more than a week, so maybe it doesn't matter.
And I can't believe that the first female president we have will be only because she is the lesser of two evils. Or is she? Our government is in a bad bad way...
I finished Haunted Ground for #1 if anyone wants to fill it in for me...I wish I could use a spreadsheet without is crashing my kindle.

I figure 1 or 2, this way we can spread the love around more...plus who know what type of crazy task these mods will have us doing next week...best not to fill in your dance card too much...never know when you may need that extra spot!
I'm only doing 1 or 2 at a time as i know i can do them, i think somd of the ones claimed have already been finished
Everyone should claim what they know they can pull off within a reasonable amount of time. With consideration for the slower readers, of course.
I hope it's not an issue for me. I'm going to finish book two tonight, book #1 tomorrow and start #5 tomorrow. I could potentially read more if needed but I have all my books loaded up .
shouldn't be T we have pretty much 55 books to fill with 1+2+3+4 etc, i think the higher ones are going to be more tricky, do maybe the quicker readers can try and get some of those done if they can.My series books only seem to be 1-4 ish, except the IAD books, that was the longest series ive ever read!
Sorry! I didn't know we had a two book limit. I'm not around much this weekend so I just marked the short reads I loaded on my phone to read today and tomorrow. Feel free to use any of my spots if you need them!
okay so when i first read it i thought it had to be all in the same series. but i see that is not the case so I'd like to claim a #1 spot. I will try to go mark it on the spreadsheet but im on my phone so no promises. work is still super crazy so im trying to grasp the concept of the game on my breaks and such and it's not working out. It will probably make sense to me once we start going.
Okay guys, Completed #2 & #5 tonight. I'm literally dying to what happens next in Rizzoli & Isles. I'm starting #6 before I go to bed. I read book five straight through.

Hmmm, I think it will make more sense once it starts. It also helps to have a visual with the spreadsheet. It'll come to you, no worries!
Hopefully work will calm down again soon for you!

Where should we put new banked books? Books we read that aren't part of a series for the weapons or part of a quest (once it starts)? Should we have a tab for banked books to be used for tasks and one for books to be sold?
V Nerd wrote: "just added one LaurLa"Yay!! Not that I need it yet but I figured with as many series I read, #1 and #2 spots would eventually be gone :-)
Here's a question... Once a series Level is completed, say level 3 which gains us 13 Attach points, can that level be re-done? While we are working filling in the higher levels, can the lower levels be read for again?
Why would you read lower levels again? You won't double your attack or anything. Once you reach for example level 3, there is really no reason to do level 1 or 2 again. You'd be only wasting books.
Besides, you still need those series numbers for higher levels.

I don't know. I'm thinking that while higher levels are still in progress (and lower levels are done) but team members are still reading books that are part of a series - can their books be applied to a another round of leveling up the weapons. Once we use a weapon and our attack points are lowered, wouldn't we want to replenish them... or am I totally not understanding the game?

Our weapon will be ours for the whole time. it's not a one-use thing! nor does it get damaged and need repairing (not even Kelly & Tea are that mean!)

Ah, okay. I didn't get that from the instructions. Ignore my post then. Apparently I'm stupid.
Nope, you don't lose attack points :)Your weapon always stays with same attack power once you reach it. Also you can't lose hero points (those experience points that level up your hero). Only thing you can lose is health
You have 3 types of 'points' in the game
- attack points (A) - can't be lost once gained - getting more by leveling up weapon
- experience points (exp) - can't be lost once gained - getting more by solving tasks, killing monsters, winning tournament rounds
- health points (hp) - can be lost during battles & tournament - getting them back with potions, leveling up hero, maybe some tasks
health and experience are connected -> more experience = higher hero level = more health

LaurLa wrote: "Ah, okay. I didn't get that from the instructions. Ignore my post then. Apparently I'm stupid. "Don't worry. It really takes time to figure it out if you never played rpg in real life. Trust me, I know. I'm still known to ask something obvious to everyone or make rookie mistake and I'm playing this challenge from start (not to mention sometimes working behind the scene)
I haven't been able to be online much this weekend but have been reading. Finished a #1, #1, #2, #3 - and working on a #4. Have been trying to get up to speed in the game too, LaurLa. You've asked questions I hadn't considered yet. :)
I keep having to look in everybody's threads to figure out what the heck is going on, I'm starting a new RPG...Barbie go shoe shopping, you earn points to help Barbie buy shoes and perhaps purses, and then you'll have those evil super shoppers trying to take those purses and shoes away from her, it's in the works ;-)

I'd play that!!!
V Nerd wrote: "#5 is really good isn't it T ?"It was super good. I had my eyes on two people that I didn't trust. I was scared for Jane in this one a lot.
Snowtulip wrote: "Do we stop at 10 in a series or can we keep going?"I am sure we will just keep going as we are doing super awseime already! Go team , Go!!!
K-Terror is on a ready frenzy!!!!
Snowtulip wrote: "Do we stop at 10 in a series or can we keep going?"
Nah, we can always keep going! Levels are already filling up nicely, so I'm pretty sure we're going to be able to move past Level 10.
This is just how far V got in preparing the spreadsheet. Apparently we didn't forgot to consider weekend reading frenzy haha. ;-)

*bangs head* What did I got into*mumbles* Kelly is going to kill me when she reads this.
OK, forget tournament for now....
You start as barefoot Barbie with little money to buy things and purse is nearly empty. Since it's this time of the year, days are getting colder and Barbie needs some shoes to stay heathy.
At current level (barefoot), Barbie can't go to some fancy shoe stores, only place she can buy things (since that's what money she has) is flee market.
Barbie, can do some tasks to earn more money so she can start browsing garage sales.
But at the same time Barbie can start stocking her purse with things every woman has in them, because she knows that heavier purse will be better to defend her shoes from other women (there is only one pair of shoes).
So lets say Barbie did couple of quick jobs and earned some money, bought old flip flops at garage sale (she's not barefoot anymore :P) and decided to check local mall for some cheap sneakers. She gets there to see (as already mentioned) only one pair of sneakers, but there is Skipper few steps in front of her going for same pair. Barbie can go out and do more jobs and earn more money or she can fight Skipper for that pair (that's where purse comes in :P)
- if Barbie decided to work some more, she'll be able to buy better shoes (and be healthier)
- if Barbie decides to fight Skipper for sneakers, in case she wins, she gets those sneakers and she also gets shoes Skipper was wearing. Problem is that Skipper also has purse, and in all that (purse) fighting, Barbie can also get injured and she'll have to see doctor. Now beside everything else, she also needs to cover some medical bill. Of course, there is also possibility that Skipper has heavier purse and Barbie can be really injured and end up in hospital for longer time (and more bills).
What will you do?
*grins and runs away*
