SAME NOTES AS THE LAST FEW TIMES THIS HAS BEEN POSTED:
★ Please take a hard look at the books you have claimed and the time we have left and decide of it's do-able to read what you've planned.
★ If you don't feel you can finish claimed books, please free up any spots so maybe someone else can pick up....
★ If you're participating in the relay, please prioritize to read that book first since they are the most difficult to replace.
★ I didn't add the crappy garden tools bonus because there wasn't anything in the bank and it would be hard to find 3 more books to do on top of what we've got.

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments We probably need to finish up the ones we have before attempting this one unless we have 3 or more in the bank....

Still looking for a farm book too!

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Did you read Dracula ST?

It showed up pretty high on listopia list of books in rural settings...

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments According to the SS, Buckland in the vale is banked, we'll one of the mc lived on a farm.

message 6562: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments I just checked and it looks like it was banked before this leg of the challenge so we can't use it until after this one...

I did find another book that I have that is on the list and is a short one to read - could probably squeeze it in too if we don't come across anything...
Open Season (Joe Pickett, #1) by C.J. Box

I don't blame you! I have thought about reading it a couple of times but it is a bit daunting...

If you are up for farm book, go for it! If you aren't in the mood for it, I can read Open Season. I actually had it locked and loaded on my phone to read sometime but just didn't realize it was a farm book.

I have Harmony to read next and I'm not sure how tomorrow will go so maybe between the two of us, we'll get it covered!

I have been that way lately, I use to love fantasy...now I just cant do it. Evety few years my reading taste change...there was a phase where I use to love romance, believe it or not...I was in my early 20's, I didn't know better yet...lol

message 6574: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13737 comments Mod
Hahah, I can hardly imagine you reading a romance, Abbie! ;-)
Tastes change over the years, I guess. I still love fantasy though! But I'm changing it up more with other things these days, so maybe that's why I still enjoy it as much as before.

message 6575: by Ghost in the Stacks (new)

Ghost in the Stacks I know right?

I still have a few, that were my favorite s that I couldnt give away, but they have been put on the back shelf.

LaurLa | 2383 comments Lost my access to the spreadsheet - just sent V my email. I can't remember what book 4 for the relay was... was it Fall Hard?

I got that and I will read for the yellow dress, Abbie

message 6579: by K~Terror (new)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments Hi LaurLa -

Here are the 3 books you have on the sheet:
- Relay Book: Fall Hard
- Pink Dress: One Wild Night
- Yellow Dress: Thrill Me

COUNTDOWN says there is just under 24 hours left to finish our books.

If you can read your relay book, do you need people to read your pink and yellow dress books?

Ghost in the Stacks I can.start the pink one In a bit K-Terror...no worries. I got one download. I am glad it was the pink! the only yellow I could find was Romance, but I would have taken it for the team.

Aww, Abbie! I'm glad I picked the right one for you not to read ;-)

message 6585: by Ghost in the Stacks (new)

Ghost in the Stacks lol...I was going to do Russian Roulette if You didn't hop on before I finished my current book...I would have read the pink one! I guess my instincts were spot on.

That worked out well, then! :-) We couldn't force Abbie to read yet another romance hehe. Poor girl!

I'll be done with the horse book tonight - work is somewhat demanding today so I don't have time to really read during the day. But a few paragraphs here and there from time to time is still progress hehe.

message 6587: by Ghost in the Stacks (new)

Ghost in the Stacks Okay, I finished the Western, staring Pink Dress book.

message 6588: by Ghost in the Stacks (new)

Ghost in the Stacks Now that my "western" is done, and it is submitted, I can complain!!!

My 298 Western tags make it a western.

So the book was not bad...not great either, but not bad. My complaint however is who are the 298 idiotic people that tagged it Western???

First of all, it was NOT a western, historical yes....but I would label it more Colonial.
First off it was set in 1600....Westerns are typically set between 1800-1900
Second of all it was set in England...westerns usually resonate with America...in the "old west"
Third it was about a sailor...westerns are usually gun fighters, cowboys, ranchers, ect..

Maybe its just me, but what do you all consider a Western?

message 6589: by VNerdbooks (new)

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5104 comments a western to me has cowboys and guns

message 6590: by Ghost in the Stacks (new)

Ghost in the Stacks oh good. I was starting to wonder if you all were the idiotic people who tagged it....since you all stopped talking to me again....

Woe is me.

King Eurystheus accidentally tipped over his puzzle and it scattered everywhere. Of course he's blaming you. Help him piece it back together or you'll never hear the end of it.
