I know it!!! I don't know how we've lost ground but I was just griping to E about it this afternoon... LOL!

I'm getting ready to ask for an extra bonus - not sure what the turn around is on that.

We should probably see if we can come up with something for the other title relay... We just need to make sure we can finish whatever we start in time.

Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 1422 comments I'm currently reading a historical.

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments I think we have one of the relay's worked out but nothing's been started on the other one. I'm not sure if we're keeping it or not, but since we haven't gotten very far with it yet... LOL!

I'm open to reading whatever is needed though...

or would be good for a re-do. :)

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments I found a rope book for Labor Bonus #29 but just put it off to the side in case other people wanted the spot since I have 2 claimed already.

Whatever we decide, we just need to be done this week to get the points... CRAZY!!!!

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments And Bonus #28 needs a book with a Scotland setting...

Awesome! The race is on between you and Abbie... She mentioned she could do one but not sure if she's found one or started one yet.

It's probably going to get kind of crazy between now and the end of this leg...

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments I know I'm a lightweight tonight but today/yesterday kicked my butt and I'm sooooooo tired.... gonna take my book to bed and read 'til I fall asleep.....

I updated the worksheet with Tamika & ST's spots.

Feel free to whip us up a title relay - or not - totally fine either way!

I'll check-in in the morning!

It would be nice if we could kick it in and finish this leg maybe one spot higher than we are currently... :)

I'm thinking that's fine! The other genres were requested to be main page, this one isn't, so....

Works is a PAIN at the moment, so I'm not going to get a lot of reading in during the day but I'm hoping for some quiet book time tonight so I can finish up the Addicted.

BONUS LABOR 30

You entered a time warp. Woah Deja Vu.

Cheryl Strayed mentions that she saw pages scattered all over the Pacific Crest Trail as she was hiking. You pour over the map and sigh at the thousand miles that you must cover to recover this book. Grabbing a backpack you set off.

◈ Pack your Backpack - Read a book that is 300 - 400 pages.
◈ Plan the Trip - Read a book with over 100 chapters.
◈ Find a Place to Shower - Read a book where someone showers.
◈ Injure a Foot - Read a book where someone is injured severely.
◈ Inspire Others - Read an inspirational book.

Points: 60

Backpack: From Sanctum With Love
Shower: Dead Heat
Inspire Others: It Ends With Us

I'm pretty sure we have something somewhere where someone is severely injured as well. One of the crime novels maybe?

100 chapters? Do we have something for that in the bank as well? Maybe?

You mean the banked one - People Who Eat Darkness?

If so, that gives us 4 of the 5 books in our new bonus-30. I'll start Lost Girls and get that done today so we can get a new bonus.

BONUS LABOR 31

Athena, ever the champion of heroes, wishes to offer you a boon. But alas, nothing can be given for free. You must complete this task fit for the Goddess of Wisdom. Here's her caveat, it's tricky be warned: the first book must be Main Page genre Non-Fiction

Read 5 linked books (i.e. Title Relay).

◈ Read 1st Book
◈ Read 2nd Book
◈ Read 3rd Book
◈ Read 4th Book
◈ Read 5th Book

Points: 60

I want to punch something....

message 6139: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13755 comments Mod
Ok, so here is what we can still do:

1. Free book - Lets you insert a "free book" into any spot in a bonus challenge
2. Re-get Bonus - Lets you remove one of your current bonuses and get a new one
4. Title Twist - Rearrange the words in a title to fit into a title chain
5. Ignore an Article - Allows you to ignore A, An, or The in a title when linking it to a chain
6. Ignore the Caveat - Lets you ignore the requirement for the first book in a title chain
7. Rearrange Page Numbers - Allows you to rearrange the page numbers of one book

What we could do: get rid of one of the title relays and use 2) to re-get that bonus. And then see what happens. If we get yet another stupid title relay, we can always decide what to do with it.

◈ Read a book with "sketch artist" in the text
◈ Read a book with "hole in the wall" in the text
◈ Read a book with "pinprick" in the text
◈ Read a book with "lemon" in the text
◈ Read a book with "beneath the surface" in the text

Hehehe :-))
I found 2 words so far, and I'm wondering if "a hole in the foyer wall" would be accepted for "hole in the wall" if we don't find anything else.
Technically, it's still the same meaning, so should be fine.

But I'll continue searching for more. Might get luckier in a different book.
