Okay that didn't make any sense haha.I meant 10 squares so for example do E1 F2 E3 F4 E5 F6 etc. So that if there are any on that line or whatever we have a good chance if a hit, the next week go from the other side making a cross, then we can start in the quarters etc............does that make any sense at all??

Depending on what else will be guessed this round and where we find hits, we can always try with guessing squares around the hits to see if we can sink a few more ships.

Don't listen to me I have no idea what I'm doing hahaI just did a dummy spreadsheet and was playing around with it and it seemed to get lots of squares at once as when you get to wk2 4 of the squares for that row had already been used if that makes sense so I used them elsewhere.

I like V Nerd's idea of starting in the middle. Then a middle line horozontally. Like she said, some those squares will already have been used, so we use those either around any hits we might have gotten or start in on one of the quadrants.
You can add my guess for the next one in line based off V's strategy and Tamika's starting point. I'm not having luck with pulling up dink right now on stupid slow wifi and phone app...

How is the trip missy having fun? when is the wedding?
The trip has been off to a great start - lots of fun visiting so far! She is putting us to work tomorrow & Friday - the wedding is Saturday! Weather is looking iffy so fingers are crossed they are able to have it outside in the cliffs. It's a really beautiful area on Newport Beach. <3

I am certainly not a battleship master though lol, I was just thinking how can we get them most amount of space in the less time, either way we're reading a lot of books, and those tricky ones with 1 space are going to be a nightmare to find!!!
I have no idea if I've sent a spreadsheet to you and Tamika E, think I have, but me, Google docs and a phone don't work that well lol

And I have to admit that I really like the idea of doing it more strategically as you've suggested. We only have to take into consideration though that battleship is only 2 weeks long. So I'd see let's pick one of the scenarios to start off with tomorrow and then we'll see where we can go from there to get as many hits as possible?
Lol well that scuppers up my plans, not sure why I thought it was 3 weeks!!
In the real game of battleship you are statistically more likely to get hits in the middle of the board, with the corners being the least likely. I'm okay with my guess going with whatever strategy we go with.

I added a second sheet to fiddle around a little to combine yours and Alexandria's idea to see what could come of it. I'll leave the rest up to you :-)
So I've had a play around with the spreadsheet thingy (not the official one) and tried a few different ways of getting the most from our hits.If you want a looky give me your email addresses and I can invite you to see what you think the best way is, either that or we just have a pot luck pick

I'd suggest, since there are 10 of us and 10 guesses can be made, everyone chooses one square. First guesses will be shots in the dark anyway since we have no idea where all the ships are hidden.

And then tomorrow, we'll attack the spreadsheet so we can see what our guesses gave us and then we can go on the hunt for fitting books so we have them ready to go for Friday.
