Hello guys, I am looking for a space ship based sci-fi horror. Think Event Horizon in book form. Any recommendations? Thanks

So a really terrible story about stupid people doing things that make no sense? Hmm...
So a really terrible story about stupid people doing things that make no sense? Hmm...Joking aside, A.E. van Vogt's fix-up book, The Voyage of the Space Beagle, is widely cited as an inspiration for the movie Alien
I've just started Blindsight. I believe it's space horror but I don't know how much is on a spaceship.

I want to read half of what's on that list :)
Space Hulk: The Novel is a novel about a massive derelict spaceship infested with deadly monsters and the special troops sent to wipe them out.

Great suggestion! Voyage is a definite classic of the genre!
Oh man, I'd love to read something like that as well. I'm a huge fan of Alien, Event Horizion, and the Dead Space games.

Sarah Anne wrote: "I've just started Blindsight. I believe it's space horror but I don't know how much is on a spaceship."I just finished that book and it mostly takes place on a space ship (and on an alien space ship, sort of thing).
I'm not sure I'd really call it horror, even though it's got a vampire in it. It's pretty hard SF (a lot about biology and sentience and AI and whatnot), and rather densely written. I'd call it more a Posthuman or Transhuman tale, as well as first encounter.
However ... it does have some of the best conceived truly alien-seeming aliens I've ever read.

I thought it was creepy but I wouldn't call it horror either.

Everything is self promotion when you really think about it
Hull Zero Three by Greg Bear might interest you. Not sure it's strictly horror though.

I've read it and thought it was excellent.

Not a book but, if you like the description of Hull Zero Three, and have not yet seen it, check out the film Pandorum.
