, Matt Shaw, Stuart Keane, & Michael Bray.I've seen a lot of good reviews of this one lately!
I'll also second THE DRIVE IN, by Joe Landsdale. :)
I've been abstaining from nominating and voting for a couple of months because real life and my copyediting schedule have pretty much eaten up all reading time, but I will have time to read this month, so I'll suggest Children of the Dark, because I'm planning to read it anyway after all the great things I've heard - it could be everyone else here has read it already :-)
Just finished THE MONSTROUS anthology edited by Ellen Datlow. How about a nice short story collection for a change?
so I'll suggest Children of the Dark, because I'm planning to read it anyway after all the great things I've heard - it could be everyone else here has read it already :-)I'll second that, for the same reason, and I'll raise you one..... could we get Mr. Janz to read along with us? Last time he did that, it was awesome.

He read one with us a few months back, and I know he's very busy. I'm hoping he'll do something similar with us again next year.
Oh! Oh! Oh! I'll second The House That Hell Built]Because it is excellent!

Helltown
I love Jeremy Bates and his World's Scariest Places series definitely make you not want to go! His Suicide Forest should have been the movie we got as horror fans instead of The Forest!

I just read Cross's Eli's Town a few days ago. It was pretty good and I have this on my TBR list :)

Thorn Jack
This book's kind of a cross between dark fantasy and horror but honestly it's so amazing.
I would like to nominate The Lost by Jack KetchumI also really want to read Children of the Dark, so I second that too.
Lost girl by Adam Neville. Hoping to meet him at a convention in September, so it'd be great to have some reactions from a number of people who had read his book.

Renée wrote: "I've skimmed both threads and I've noticed that Helter Skelter: The True Story of the Manson Murders
is current..."It's a great book to read, it's one of my all time favorite true crime books to read, and the movie, is great too
I second the ritual. Just recently picked this up from the library and am very interested in reading it. I would like to put in my vote for the drive-in aswell. Been meaning to check this book out.

I'll second this. Been meaning to get to it for 2 years now.

I'll second that one--I have it, and don't want to see it buried! (Of course, I'll go with whatever book wins.) ;)

We love and welcome authors, but cannot let our nomination threads be overtaken by authors suggesting their own books.
I would like to nominate The Magician by D.A Pupa! The audiobook was narrated by a three time Audie Award Narrator L.J. Ganser (from Law & Order) and it was also a National Indie Excellence Award winner as well. Personally, I think it's an amazing read and I think a lot of people would love it!

your very welcome

I'm going to have a difficult time picking between those two--but they are currently my top choices. :)

Do not be afraid to suggest books a second time as books with more than one nomination are more likely to make it to the official poll. Nominations will be open until Friday morning, 5.27.16, at which time I will put the polls together.
Authors: Please remember that nominating your own books is not allowed!
