When You're Not Reading a Cozy . . .

Yes Nicole and really enjoyed it. The only one of his that I've loved if I'm honest :)

I've never read anything from this author before and it's not the type of book I would have just picked up but one of my book clubs is reading it. I'm listening to the audio book and really like it. It's a little scary sometimes because I think Ove and I have some of the same idiosyncrasies lol

I know, they've been favorites of mine over the years but somehow I forgot Sue Grafton's series and really got behind. I got caught up with Janet Evanovich's when #22 came out so at least I'm up to date with Stephanie Plum but that means I have a few Kinsey Milhone to look forward to reading.

It's a brilliant series! I'm right up to date - read the latest Secrets in Death a few days ago. I'm re-reading from the beginning now :)

Meeting the new neighbor is explosive

And listening to Genuine Lies by Nora Roberts, altho not enjoying this one as much as I expected to - maybe I just need to get further into it...

Great Suspense, not as many bodies

Wonderful Treasure Hunt Tale

Read a couple of stories by Edgar Allan Poe yesterday, The Fall of the House of Usher and The Purloined Letter. Had read the latter story before, but not the first. Both were mentioned in a recent cozy read, Prose and Cons by Amanda Flower.

This book is in my ' to read ' file, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Read this a few months back. Very mixed feelings about it. I grew up in Dayton, OH, and have lots of relatives in the Middletown area where Vance was raised. His background is very much mine, though I'm of his mother's generation, with my parents being of his Mamaw & Papaw's. Well written, I just found myself getting a certain "vibe" from it.

Great more suspense than romance series.

Maybe that is partly why it is considered a book with a (or more than a) unreliable narrator.
