Added 'The Game' to my TBR! :)
1. The Alienist2. The Axeman's Jazz these first two are such well written books that weave fact, fiction and thrills beautifully
3. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks I am a nurse I learnt so much from this book
4. 600 Hours of Edward Edward is autistic, writes a complaint letter a day but does not post them and then a young boy and his mum disrupts his routine
5. Painless a young girl who feels no pain and attempts to misuse this affliction
6. The Curiosity a man captured in an iceberg is brought back for research and re-awakening
I'll recommend the six books series I have most recently begun to collect because I just love the books so much.First books from the Six Series I'm Most Recently Adding to My Collection:
1)
. . . Rosemary and Rue (October Daye, #1) by Seanan McGuire (urban fantasy with fae, et.al.) -- I own the first five, so far.2)
. . . Moon Called (Mercy Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs (urban fantasy with weres and shifters, et.al.) -- I own all MMP releases, so far.3)
. . . Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs (urban fantasy with werewolves, et.al.) -- I own all MMP releases, so far.4)
. . . The Color of Magic (Discworld, #1) by Terry Pratchett (fantasy-sci-fi with wizards, et.al.) -- I own ALL. :-)5)
. . . The Eyre Affair (Thursday Next, #1) by Jasper Fforde (fantasy with classic book characters!, et.al.) -- I own all Trade Paperbacks, so far.6)
. . . Skinwalker (Jane Yellowrock, #1) by Faith Hunter (urban fantasy with shifters, et.al.) -- I own all MMP releases, so far. :-)
I'm going for a bit of an animal theme with my final days recommendations. If you like animals in books these are for you.
3 a.m. by Nick Pirog. A cat called Lassie who behaves like a dog. The conversations between the MC and Lassie are classic.
The Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness. In this series you get to hear the thoughts of all of the animals the MC's come across. Absolutely brilliant and their thoughts are strangely believable.
- The Nothing Girl by Jodi Taylor - An invisible speaking horse called Thomas, the loudest donkey ever and possibly the ugliest cat. What more could you want?
- Unforeseen by Nick Pirog - Another Nick Pirog but this time it's a more traditional detective story. The animal in this one is a narcoleptic pug. Brilliant.I will no doubt add some more but that's it for now.
Here is a couple of books in Verse probably one of my favorite ways to read a novel. Ellen Hopkins is really one of my favourite authors.
I recently read You're Never Weird on the Internet. It's a memoir. As a rule, I never read nonfiction. Never. So, being the overthinker I am, I spent an hour contemplating whether to read this book or not. Yes, an hour. But, once I picked up the book and discovered it's awesomeness, I wanted to kick myself for not reading this book sooner. (Sadly, kicking oneself is not possible.) Felicia Day has this great sense of humor and she can connect with anyone! So, please give this book a try!
A Monster Calls - a lovely read but very sad. I shed quite a few tears.
Fingersmith - this book is full of twists and turns
I Capture the Castle - my favourite coming of age story
Snow Flower and the Secret Fan - I loved reading about the relationship between the 2 girls/women and how it progresses over the years.
Dissolution - first book in one of the best historical mystery series ever
The School for Good and Evil - a fun read about a school where girls and boy learn how to be fairy tale princes/princesses and villians
My theme? Marvelous mysteries!!One for the Money the one that started it all...
Fudge Cupcake Murder
The Flaming Luau of Death simply hysterical!
Absolution by Murder girl power!
Murder on a Girls' Night Out
These are some of my all-time favorites!!

Recommendations FAQ -
Through this read-a-thon, we're going to recommend books in the hopes of putting a ton more books on our TBR! With recommendations ~
╰⊰✿ Try to recommend something not extremely popular (no Harry Potter!) We want to get new books and with extremely big series/books, people already know about them. Give us something new to want!
╰⊰✿ REMEMBER: Our group is an ALL AGES group. Please no recommendations of a mature nature. Gore and violence is ok (it's in Hunger Games after all) but nothing too over the top and no erotica please.
